Hi, I lost the user manual and recently got a new phone. I don't remember how to connect the Samsung WEP500 to my phone, Sony Ecrisson W580i. If anyone can tell me the steps, that would be great. Thanks!

You can do a search for the WEP500 over the Internet for a manual. You will find several sites that can help you. You can also go to the samsung.com, click the support tab and put in the search area wep500. You will be able to download a PDF version of the manual.
The first time you turn on the headset it will enter "Pairing" mode. In
this mode you can connect your headset with your phone or other
Bluetooth enabled device. If you have already connected one device to
the headset, you can enter Pairing mode by holding the multi-function
button turns solid blue.
Once in pairing mode, set your phone or
other Bluetooth enabled device to search for the headset. While each
device is different, the setting is often found in a "Settings" or
"Bluetooth" menu and the "Search" or "Discover" Bluetooth devices
option. On the list of discovered devices, choose "Samsung WEP500" and
select "Yes" or "Ok" to connect to the device. When asked for the
passkey, enter 0000.
Same thing happened to me the other day. For some unknown reason my wep500 seemed to just die with no apparent cause or reason. So I took the unit apart and tested the battery with a multi meter. It read 3.9V. So power was not the issue, I then put it back together and by chance, happened to continue pressing the power button for 5 seconds in hope I would see the LEDs flash but no dice. Then for no reason, I went to my phone and tried to pair and to my amazement it actually paired (meaning the device must of been on). So I then hit the big button on the wep500 and sure enough it calls the last number stored in my phone. It turns out (out of all things) the led itself went bad for some unknown reason. I suggest you try charging it (you won't see the red led), try turning it on (you won't see the blue led) and then try pairing from your phone. If you phone indicates it paired, then try calling the last number from your wep500. If it works, then you too have a bad LED (I have never seen an LED go bad before). Hope this helps.
