The model is written right on the frame, unless it's been repainted. The info you are looking for will not be found with the serial number.

I have a Smoothfitness 5.65 and the speed readout kicke to EO1 and the machine stops

please read this steps and fix it. see the diagram attached. God bless you
ERR1 indicates a speed issue. In this case, the motor speed as reported from the optic sensor differs
from the speed setting.
Analysis: Optic sensor signal issue -- Either the optic sensor signal is not right, or it is read incorrectly, or
the signal is not reaching the display.e0ce916a-e304-4e53-8fb8-a0843b056ce9.gif

Treadclimber centering

Dear Sir:
ecalibrate the machine if speed is not registering, belts stop turning or the display readout shows an "err, LS, OS" on the face. Calibrate the TreadClimber by plugging it in. Stand on the foot platforms, or floor mat. Do not stand on the walking belt. Insert the safety key. Press the "start" key when "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows on the readout. If readout fails to show the "CAL/PRSS/STRT" symbol, turn off machine and turn it back on. Press "ENTER" and then "DOWN SPEED" at the same time until "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows up on the display. Belts will start and stop during the calibration; do not be alarmed. Do not make any adjustments or interrupt the display of numbers as the unit goes through the calibrations. When the machine is finished calibrating, the readout will display "CAL...PASS" and you can press the "POWER" key to get out of the calibration section.

sincerely. God bless you.

I want an instruction manual for the Chattanooga Deluxe Exerciser

Caution: The internal unit has grease, gears and cables so be careful.

To change the batteries, the blue 'read out' display plate lifts off and on the underside is the battery receiver. Facing the blue display, I simply inserted my fingernails under the top of the face plate and pulled. It lifted off fairly easily but does offer some resistance. I'm sure a flat bladed tool such as a screw driver would also work.

Note: There should be a cable/wire going from the internal mechanism to the plate. If it is not connected to the face plate, you will not get a readout. Use caution when reaching inside the unit and do not turn the pedals. Look inside the unit for a loose black cable/wire with a white stripe. On the end of that wire is a single prong plug that inserts into the backside of the display plate. My plug's receiver had threads so it may be that some cables/wires will have a screw-on type connection.

My instruction manual (leaflet) did not show how to change batteries or hook up the interior cable/wire. I could ot find the product or related instructions on the companies website but here is the information:

My sigma sport onboard computer isn't registering my speed or distance at all. I had a fall about a week ago, and haven't used the bike until yesterday. The computer is still on and working (well, the...

The magnet, as you might know, induces a very small current by wizzing by a winding with a small iron core to make a blip of electricity. The controller needs very little blip to register anything, so the first thing to do is to put the bike upside down or in a repair stand, and adjust the magnet and pickup coil so that the magnet is as close as you can get it to the pickup coil. Spin the wheel fast and see if you are registering anything. If not, it is time to pop out the ohm meter and take the computer off its mounting (leaving the bracket there on the handlebar) and check continuity by putting the ohm meter on DC voltage 1x scale, hook the leads up to the nodes that are seen on your handlebar computer bracket, spin the wheel and look for movement of the needle on the ohm meter (or change in a digital readout on a digital meter). If you don't see this, fix the open in the wire. Most likely it is not your computer, but it could be.

On my console, all the readouts for the speed,distance...turn on but they come up as all zeros. I put new batteries in but I still get no readouts. Help.

Has anyone had the treadmill apart? Most of the readouts are really very simple. Simply a sensor wire that runs down to the pulley with a sensor at the end. It counts the revolutions of the drive pulley and gives calculated readouts for speed, est calories, distance etc. all the same function really
Check the wire for breaks, check the sensor for positioning and dirt, check the magnet on the drive pulley that tells the sensor pulley position

Display stopped working

My Alpine CDA-7842 works fine from a functional point of view but the display (readout) had stopped working. All the lights on the display work but the actual readout is blank. At first the readout would intermittently work now it's completely dead. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
