Try these operations:
- do a virus check to make sure your system is virus-free - if it is virus-free, do a disk defragmant and run the ScanDisk utility - if this doesn't solve your problem, do a system restore to an earlier point in time, when you knew it was working fine

Unusable signal shows up on screen.Cannot get a cable signal.


Hi friend I would recommend that you plug your TV into a cable signal that is currently working on a different site and see what the TV response is if the TV has the same response the RF modulator on the port panel could be faulty if TV works fine then I suspect your cable signal strength and quality at your home is either non existent or extremely poor and will have to repaired. Good luck hope its not your TV.

When second igniter is turned on, circuit breaker blows


Normally if trip switch activates, it means there is a problem on the ignitor board. Easiest way is to replace it. Trying to repair it is like playing dice. A good repairer is pricey and a poor repairer is costly.(At least with a new board, there is a gaurentee.) Unfortunately it should be replaced by a responsible technician as the gaurentee is not valid if done by a non technician.

My VA712 does not turn on, when supply button (mains) not from front panel, switch ON it shows blank screen (no sign of turn on) but when repeatedly switch ON & Off it Turns On & shows the display....


bholesir, If unit covered by ViewSonic warranty, USE IT!!! The units "switch-mode-power-supply" is in need of service!! Unit WILL require inspection and repair of possible bad (poor quality soldering) soldering of electronic components to the prinded circuit cards and or need replacement of bad (poor quality) electrolytic filter capacitors on the unit's "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter circuit" that have failed!! Do a visit to YOUTUBE for "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD monitor repair" so you can familarize FYI with what is inside your monitor, and possibly make a decision to do a DIY repair or contract out the work to a local TV/LCD monitor repair shop. If your pocket is deep enough, maybe you will repair and buy a new unit, keeping VA712 as spare unit for a rainy day. ludwighro805, If Lucky Goldstar warranty not valid option, or LG cash+ old unit refurbished swapout then you will need to repair unit or contract out the work to technician that fully understands failure mode of unit W1934S. Get into my FIXYA profile and READ, READ, READ. Your unit good candidate for repair. Your unit CLASSED as "BLACK" or "BLACK and BLANK" screen failure due to possible POOR factory reflow soldering process. If you do the research you may even want to try a DIY fix. Button not working well


If you have the mouse USB port plugged into the front of your computer the signal will be poor. The USB ports in the back of your computer are way faster and your mouse will be very responsive.

I like Dell computers. They seem to be responsible as a computer retailer overall as far as service and support goes.

Dell is good about keeping their products out of Wal Mart, Costco, and Sam's Club because to sell to them would require making shortcuts and cutting into their product lines.

Best Buy is selling the Dell line now if you don't want to go to Dell.com.

As a computer technician with several years experience, I have seen poor quality from HP, Compaq, and Toshiba and a lot of service repairs in their product lines. A lot of that stems from selling to Wal Mart.

If the image quality is poor while transmitting video over the Internet using video enabled programs such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo! or AOL Instant Messenger, your connection speed to the Internet directly affects the image quality of the transmitted video. Corporate LAN, DSL/cable modem connections will result in the best image quality experience, while dial-up connections may result in choppy and overall poor quality because of the slower connection speed. Even broadband connections such as DSL/cable modem may experience choppy video at times because of Internet traffic or slow upload speeds. If the image appears clearly in the camera software, most likely your Internet connection may be responsible for the poor image quality in your video program.
