It may simply need some lubrication on the join where the step attaches to the main machine unit. I assume you have probably tried this though, please let me know and I will keep helping.

Thanks
Tim

Hi,

Take side panels off, you have on the right side the alternator on top, middle pulley and bottom eccentric hub assembly on each side of the pedals are return springs disengage them. their a braket that holds the alternator loosen bolt so that the Poly-V Belt can be removed. Now inspect by hand if thier is a slippage both ways on the eccentric Hub assembly if so replace the eccentric hub assembly .

Spring on throttle body is not working. Or, throttle plates sticking, clean them. Or Accel cable sticking. Have someone push the pedal while you look for the problem under the hood.

Gets whacky and freezes up every 2-3 minutes

Is this the correct sustain pedal for this unit? It sounds like it should be a momentary button type. I would look into that. Some have a push to work type of switch and some use momentary. If it is, I would open that pedal and clean the switch with contact cleaner, as it appears to be sticking.

On a 2005 chevy suburban my brake lights will come on after about 4 seconds but not right away. I would assume there is a sensor near the pedal. What do I look for and how do I check it?

the brake light switch is near the brake pedal it should have a wire (or wires) attached to it, it is activated when you push the brake pedal in, they are usually spring loaded & it could be sticking just give it a spray with WD 40 & see if that fixes it, if not it may have to be replaced.........hope this helps.......cheers.

Brake lights stay on permanently on 97 ford escort.

the cause is the brake light switch on the backside on top of the brake pedal. it is either out off adjustment or it needs replaced. this switch activates the brake lights when pushing on brake pedal. if it gets out of adjustment or sticks the brake lights will stay on because it does not cut voltage to brake lights. have a good day !!

Clutch sticking will not go into first

Ok it looks like there is no problem with the clutch or tranmission. You problem is that the clutch pedal is stiff and sticking to the floor. This sometimes happens when vehicles sit for extended periods of time. It might free up by working back and forth by hand. Have the vehicle off and the parking brake applied and push the clutch pedal up and down with your hand, It might stick to the floor and you may have to pull it off the floor a few times. You can also get some spray lubricant from your local canadian tire or auto parts store. open the hood and have someone move the clutch pedal up and down and spray the moving parts. It might take a few times to free up the stiff linkage but it will work :)

Manual Transmition, While driving the clutch pedal went right to the floo and stayed down. I lifted the pedal with my foot and with a light touch i pushed down on the pedal and it it began a grinding sound...

the slave cylinder on the trans works just like a brake cylinder, when fluid pressure is applied it flows into the cylinder and pushes against a clutch fork which engages a throw out bearing against the clutch pressure plate fingers. a couple things could have happened. I think your trans is fine but im sure the clutch fork or the pressure plate broke. I'm sorry but the trans is gonna have to be pulled. best wishes

Stop lamp switch how do you adjust this

the stop light switch is spring loaded & pops out when the brake pedal is pushed in & pushed in when the brake pedal returns you need to adjust it so as in is pushed right in & lock it in that position, then check if the brake lights come on when the pedal is pushed in you may have to re adjust it to get it right.....hope this helps.....cheers

Brake lights stick on

It sounds like the brake light switch down on the brake pedal is stuck and it needs replaced,Its got like a push button setup when you apply the brakes the brake pedal pushes the brake switch button in brake lights come on and when you relase the brake pedal the button on the switch comes back out and brake lights go out but if switch is worn out or sticking the lights will stay lit even when off the brake pedal so just replace the brake light switch down on the brake pedal.

Suzuki VL intruder 125 back brake sticking and braklight stuck on

i too had this problem .....dnt worry just remove the brake cable and lubricate it with some spray like ABRO or WD40 lubricating spray then you sprayed some in the cable.play with it pull it forward and push it backward.,lubricate and repeat the steps till you find the cable goes smoother...you know it usually happens due to dust and dirt which enters the cable n get it stuck, try this n tell me..
