If the belt is good and motor spins, then the drum bearings are bad. Try spinning the tub by hand. It should spin freely if the bearings are ok. If it does not spin freely, then the bearings are likely bad.

If you have removed the belt from the motor and tub and motor is not spinning, then the motor is likely bad. You can check the power to the motor with a voltmeter to see if it is getting power.

Try removing the belt and see if the motor will spin when it's turned on. If not, check power to the motor. If there is power, then motor is bad. If no power to motor, then control panel or timer is having issues.

hello do you mean the drum is stuck if so check the belt at the back of the washer it might have snaped or come off if this ok then the cause could be the brushes on the motor hope it helps

Front load washing machine would not spin now won't wash either.

Sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such a s a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the macine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys. Good Luck!
