Question about Dualit CTS4E 4-Slice Toaster
Your toaster is broken. Use common household tools to fix it. In the end it should toast on both sides.

U have a broken element on one side. You may be able to look inside and see the broken element. If not take the ends off it may be there. No matter it is a broken element. Keep looking for the broken element it may be slightly tacked to each broken end but not good enough to allow enough current to pass through.

It could be that your toaster was recalled due to a safety defect. I'd recommend browsing this list of recalled toasters to see if yours is on there: http://wemakeitsafer.com/tools/recalledproducts.php?type=Toasters%2FToaster+Ovens
