My problem is that I can not remove Adobe 8.1.1 . I am unable to uninstall it in the usual way, that is why I sought help. If it was as easy as you say it would have been done long ago.

    Uninstalling Adobe Reader 8.1.1

    I get this message,

"This patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.

Where do I go fro here?

Go to start, control panel, add remove programs, then select adobe 8.1.1. It is always better to uninstall the old version before installing the new one.

Then you need to clarify yourself when asking for help. Your initial post said "I think that I need to remove Adobe 8.1.1 so that that I can download Adobe 8.1.2" So how do you expect me to know that you tried to uninstall already? We are just techs not mind readers. Also you shouldn't get an attitude with someone who is trying to help you for free. Keep that in mind.

Why is adobe flash player crashing everyday?

Quite often you may have to do the removal and restart your PC. Once you have done that, check your registry to make sure you have removed any traces of flashplayer. Before you edit your registry, make sure you back it up first. Should something go awry, you can go back and recover to the back up registry file. Also make sure you do one product removal at a time and check that the reinstall removed all pieces.
