My cd player in my renault says error an i have reset it and still says the same

The player may have failed and is unable to read a disc.

look it up and read it s limitation, all car CD have massive limits
some can not not read recorded CDs CDRs CDRW, nor any DVD.

Hi,

I have come across this problem before.

For the player to reset after the code has been incorrectly entered several times, the screen should display code.

So to reset this put the keys in the ignition and turn the ignition on so the red lights are on in the dash, no need to start the car.

Do this in your driveway or garage at home where it is secure,
because the ignition needs to remain on for about an hour for it to reset so it says code again on the screen .
once that happens you can enter the code.

It says ERROR because wrong codes have been entered previously.

To reset leave SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself

If you require a code then first remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

Oh, i had this problem several times... look, the best answer that i can give you is to buy a new one, there's sony's cd-players that are great, me and my father have. now, if you want to stay with this cd player just insert the cd several times until it will play. but again, you better buy a different one.

The bumper is held on by just two 13mm bolts, the problem is getting to them. First remove the air filter and you will then see a black junction box on the right hand side, remove this and the bracket underneath to get to the bumper bolt. The driver side bolt is behind the small black junction box under a larger black junction box. Remove the small one 2/3 small bolts) to access the other bumper bolt. Its easy to do just takes a bit of time.

to enter your code when the cd player displays error leave cd player switched on and after 20 mins or so i will display 0000 then you will be able to enter your code this happens when some 1 has entered the wrong code
