It seems you have worn rings and/or barrel and piston. You will have to get the barrel off the engine to ispect. Unbolt the carb and exhaust from the engine. Unbolt the 4 nuts on top of the head. Remove the head and barrel from the engine. Inspect the piston for scoring and wear. Remove the piston by removing the circlip next to the gudgeon pin. Do not drop the clip into the engine.(stuff some clean rags in the engine under the piston. The gudgeon pin can now be pushed out of the piston and the piston removed.Have the barrel and piston measured for wear.
If you're on a tight budget you can replace rings only but this is a penny wise pound foolish solution. You'll have the same problem in 2 months time.
It is best to rebore the barrel and fit an oversize piston and new rings. The barrel can also be resleeved but this is a more costly option and should only be exersized if you cannot obtain an oversize piston.

I have a suzuki gs 500e 1990. when the i try aind

Two possible answers here,
1, The starter motor is stuck and the click is just the sound of the relay.
2, Not enough power in the battery to turn the motor over, the lights/horn etc may still work but the starter takes a hell of current from the battery and there may just be not enough to turn it over.

Black smoke is too much fuel. Blue smoke is burning oil.
White smoke is a sign that coolant is getting into the combustion chamber. See if your coolant is getting used up. See if your oil is milky, or also getting used up. You can have some tests done to see the condition of your engine...like compression test, and a leak down test, to see how good your internal components are holding up.

Hi Check that the kill switch is connected to the ignition & is working OK
There may be a carbon deposit on the head which is glowing red hot thereby igniting the fuel like a diesel (without a spark) The other possibility is dieseling by over compression (at 14:1 compression petrol self ignites) but that is not very likely

I would suggest doing a compression check and checking the results against your manual (should be at least 165PSI or so. Low compression will make the bike run rich which would make it smoke excessively. It would also make it hard to start and run poorly with low power. New rings could do wonders.

Suzuki GV burns oil

valve seals will not cause this kind of oil consumption, a scocred cylinder wall or broken piston ring will, not sure on the head gasket, does it have a combustion gases present in the radiator surge tank or bubbles while running? if not the head gasket is probaly ok.
