On some sewing machine the door is called Lamp Cover Door & has a hinge at the back of the door,, gently pull toward the back of the machine to open the door & the light bulb should be easy to get to.
Some are called Face Plate-there should be a plug in the middle of the door-remove gently with a small screw driver- there should be a small screw to remove-the door should come off easily--change bulb--replace screw-replace plug

Neddles to suit janome mylock 134.

The needles required will be listed in your manual, if you don't have a manual then buy any needles recommended for sergers/overlockers. Or check on the Janome website.

Janome 7025 have mislaid manual and can't open side of machine to replace bulb, have removed screws but it won't come off.

After removing 1 or 2 screws on the side cover, that side cover should come off with a good tug. Janome also puts tabs on the side cover to help hold it on, and they do stick sometimes. If you can get your whole hand over the entire cover, get a good grip on it, and just give it firm yank.

I have a Janome 5700, the light has burnt out and there is no directions in manual for changing it, I also cannot find the burnt out light. Can you help. Thanks Penny

Most sewing machine lamps are located inside the face cover on the left hand side of your machine. It should pull open as it is hinged at the back and clicks into place when you close it. The lamp will be visible to you when you open your machine. It will either need a bayonet or screw type bulb replacement. You will need to look at the broken bulb in order to see what type your machine needs.

If you look at page 4 of this manual, which is similar to your machine, you will see the face cover is part number 11. In the smaller picture below you can make out the hinge on the back of the machine that allows you to open the face cover like a door. Hope this helps!

LED screen won't light up on New home 8000

First, open the lid where the feet are stored, look on the right side front of the backside of the panel for a round knob. This is the brightness control. Turn it gor more or less brightness. If this doesn't solve the problem, you have a bad screen which must be rebuilt by Janome . Take the machine to a Janome dealer (they are the only one's Janome will deal with) who wilremove the panel, send it to Janome for a rebuild and reinstall it for you. You may as well have the machine serviced while this is being done as everything is already exposed for proper cleaning and lubrication. Be aware , this may cost as much as $400 but the machine is worth it.

Under the cover of your machine where the feet are stored, on the right side, front of your machine is a round button which controls the brightness of your display. It was probably moved during cleaning.
