I had the exact same issue with my new Panasonic PT-AE700u bulb. I contacted the company I purchased it from and they authorized the removal of the tab. I used my Dremel tool to slice it off and the bulb ended up working like a charm.

If everything else fits fine...the door just doesn't close, check with the company you purchased the bulb from and see what they recommend. This sounds like a common issue with "OEM" or "Original" bulbs these days.

How to change the fluorescent bulbs

Most fridges use either a friction tab or or gravity to secure the translucent plastic window cover on the inside over the lamp. The owner's manual should provide detailed instructions. Avoid using a plain screwdriver for prying, as hard plastic often cracks or breaks at the tabs. For gravity held covers, simply slide the cover upwards to detach it and then pull gently outwards to release it. Unplug the fridge when changing the bulb and use a 40 Watt lamp especially made for refrigerators. Do not get confused at the store and buy the one marked "Oven" as they look the same from the outside. Many larger supermarkets carry such lamps, they are cheaper there than at specialty stores.

Back light is out

This is old info for an old scanner, so parts availability and price may vary.

The display backlight consists of four incandescent lamps with orange sleeves on the bulbs. Uniden sells the lamps with sleeves for $1.35 each, part # BPZY0036001. To order parts call 1-800-5297-1023.

To replace the lamps take 5 screws off the top scanner cover (2 on each side and 1 on the back) then lift up the cover from the back first and then detach it at the front. The speaker and wire will
still be attached to the scanner so you will have to gently pull the speaker wire plug out of the circuit board and set the top cover aside. Then looking inside the scanner towards the display you will
see 4 round white plastic pieces with a slot in them. These are the back of lamp sockets. Turn the slot in each one counterclockwise about 1/8 to 1/4 turn until it stops and get a small needle nose pliers and pull it straight out towards you. Some will come right out
and some are a little stubborn and need to be wiggled out. I always replace all 4 while I have it apart. Put in the new ones and turn each one 1/8 to 1/4 turn clockwise. Make sure the slots on all of them are horizontal. Don't forget to plug your speaker wire back in before you put the cover back on.

Radio Shack 272-1092 micro lamps
Also referred to as #7219 lamp which is 12 volts dc 60ma wire terminal base. NOTE: The RS bulbs are 12v vs the original 8v bulbs, so the light will be dimmer if you use the RS parts.

Cd door wont shut

this is possible but can lead to more frustration. The cd door usually has a plastic tab that depresses on a button or blocks the opto sensor to indicate it is closed. I presume that your cd door is missing this tab or the circuit that activates when the door is closed is faulty. Block the opto sensor manually using paper or keep the button depressed that the door tabe closes on. You will not need anything to keep door closed unless it is reqiured to play the cd then just use a brick

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. 2. Remove the cover from over the top of the front lamp unit (1). (Refer to 08 - Electrical/8L - Lamps and Lighting/Lamps/Lighting - Exterior/UNIT, Front Lamp - Removal) . 3. Remove the grille from the front of the vehicle. (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/GRILLE - Removal) . 4. If the front lamp being serviced is on the same side of the vehicle as the engine fresh air intake tube, unsnap the air intake tube from the air cleaner housing and remove it from between the lamp and the radiator yoke hydroform. 5. Remove the three screws (3) that secure the two lower and the upper inboard lamp mounting brackets to the front end sheet metal. 6. If equipped, remove the push pin fastener (2) that secures the upper outboard lamp mounting bracket to the top of the radiator yoke hydroform. 7. The lower inboard lamp mounting bracket is captured between a metal mounting bracket on the top of the front frame crossmember and a tab of the plastic front fascia reinforcement. Push the tab of the front fascia reinforcement forward far enough for lamp mounting bracket clearance while maneuvering the lamp unit inboard during removal. 8. Pull the lamp away from the front of the vehicle far enough to access and disconnect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector (5) from the pigtail connector on the back of the lamp housing. 9. Remove the lamp unit from the vehicle.

A big PGBK ink cartridge problem

Call - 1-800-828-4040
Verify they are installed correctly.
Remove the print head or ink tanks properly following the procedure below.
1. Confirm that the printer is powered on and open the top cover. The print head moves to the replacement position.

Note: When the top cover is opened more than ten minutes, the print head moves to the right side. If this occurs, close the top cover, and open it again.

2. Open the paper output tray and pull down the inner cover.

3. Remove the ink tanks by pressing the tab of each tank.

Note: Handle the ink tanks with care so that your clothes and surrounding area do not get soiled. When replacing multiple ink tanks, make sure to replace one by one.

Note: <Ink Tank Lamp> You can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its lamp flashes.

On: The printer is ready to print.

Slow flashing (at about three second interval): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink tank.

Fast flashing (at about one second interval): Ink tank is empty, or the printer is not ready due to an error.

Off: An error has occurred and the printer is not ready to print.

4. Put back the inner cover and close the top cover.
Note: When starting printing next time, the print head cleaning launches automatically.
During the print head cleaning, the Power lamp flashes green. Do not do other operations until the flashes stops.

Replacing halogen lamps

I can write the procedure out here.
The lamps are 150 watt lamps, I normally buy the ones rated for 130 volts.
You need to first have torx bits or drivers for the screws.
Remove both side covers. There are 1 screw on the back of each cover and one screw on the front inside, that you have to open the front cover to access. On the upper part of the machine.
After removing the side covers, remove the maintenance tray and both green slide rails it sets in. Those small leaf springs on those green rails can have some scotch tape placed on them to keep them in place when re installing.
Then remove the stainless steel plate on the upper front. Its about 10 inches wide and 3 inches high. 2 screws hold it in place and 2 tabs on bottom.
Next you have to remove the registration roller assembly. It is the steel assembly about mid front. To remove that, you first have to remove the clutch and drive belt and gear from the left hand side of the machine ( looking from the front). Just one clip removes the clutch, the gear has a slot in it to get it past the clutch stop. Slide it and the belt off.
Now that registration assembly isnt difficult to remove, but can be anoying. One the left side of that assembly, there is a C slip with a tab on it, it holds the bearing in place. That clip has to be removed. Not a lot of room to access it, so have a longer thing screwdriver handy. And on the right side there is one torx screw holding it in. Also not the bearing on the right side stuck in the frame. I always take some white out or some glue and glue it into the frame when replacing the transport, It loves to fall out otherwise.
Once you remove that registration assembly, there are 2 screws about 8-10 inches apart on a beige plastic blocks. Remove those and you can then remove the heater assembly where those lamps are mounted. Replace the lamps. Take some emery cloth and clean the contacts to the lamps and reassemble.
Honestly if you just go slow and methodically it really isnt difficult. Just take your time.
I will say the Sylvania lamps, rated 150 watts, 130 volts with anti vibration coils in them never seem to fail.
Good luck let me know if there are any questions.
