You need region free dvd player. Some models can be simply modified by changing settings in secret menu

You can't change the DVD coding. That part is how the DVD is recorded. However, your Mac will play DVDs from another region. It just typically defaults to one region. I have deleted the DVD player software (and preferences files) before and reloaded it to play DVDs from another region. If you plan to regularly play DVDs from multiple regions, you might want to look for special DVD software that will read DVDs from multiple regions.

Hello Rimi, usually DVD players are encoded in such a way that they can only accept discs from the region in which they are supplied. Now often times you can change the region setting by the use of a series of keys on the remote. Depending on your unit make and model there are methods to change it to play all dvds from any region.

You can change the Region Code of you DVD player but be aware that you have a limited number of changes, then the DVD player will be stuck to a certain region.
Search in the Options menu and change the region code to one printed on the french dvd case. To watch DVDs from your region again you have to change the region once more. Watch for changes left.

I think you wanted to write that you CAN'T watch DVDs or play games bought in Australia on your PS3.
The reason is the region code of your playstation. It only can play Region Code 2 DVDs and games. In Australia you only can buy Region Code 4 media.
You need to buy your media from south africa or Europe. Some blueray-discs are region code free. You can check this on: http://www.blurayregioncodes.com/
As far as I know it's not possible at the moment to change the region code of the play station.

some dvds enable you to manually change the setting to '0' which will allow you to watch any region dvds. Have you not looked in the manual that came with it? If you have no manual what is the model number and I will see what I can do

I got two new disks to-day with pictures taken from 35mm slides. They will not play on my zenith znd400 dvd player. I wonder why??????

on these dvd players you can only change your regions 1 ,2 or 3 times and then they wont change any more. sorry I couldnt help
