SOURCE: Power on Green but no display (blank screen)

In the LCD1830 the inverter for the backlight always burns out. They are fairly easy to replace when you remove the back to get inside. A new one is available from MoniServ for $69.99. http://www.lcdpart.com/Products/uhp061104mss.html

SOURCE: screen and colors too bright

CRT and LCD will look different when compared side by side. Is your CRT calibrated, or are they right in the sense that they are what you are used to? Also Anyway, you can adjust the colors and light levels from the menu on your screen, and depending on your operating system and graphics adapter you should be able to make adjustments there, too. For windows XP, right click your desktop and select properties->Settings->Advanced. There might be a color management tab. Also, there might be software to help you do this already installed. Look for a program group with the name of your Graphics adapter manufacturer. Very often ATI or nVidia. SOURCE: mounting a NEC MultiSync LCD 1560

You need a VESA mounting plate. The VESA Standard defines mounting interfaces, hole patterns and associated cable/power supply locations for LCD/TFT monitors. The monitor you have has a 75mm x 75mm hole pattern as per the spec sheet below: http://www.nec-display-solutions.co.uk/coremedia/download/62980/LCD1560VM-Datasheet-english.pdf There are many types of bracket depending whether you want the panel flat on the wall or to be able to swivel it. You can see some example on the page below: http://www.rs100.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=30_55&products_id=580&osCsid=15qvrvji4vn4uk49pcidd38q83 You need to search your location for a supplier. Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

SOURCE: monitor power shuts off without warning

You might check the filter capacitor on the power supply and see if it is swelling or shorted.

SOURCE: Problem with an NEC MultiSync 1550V 15" LCD

The power supply section may be failed, or there may be a short on one of the boards causing the monitor to cycle through the protect mode.

NEC Multisync LCD1765: Screen flashes and then mintor turns off with message "No Signal"

Restart your computer.
As soon as it starts the start-up process, keep tapping the F8 key, repeatedly.
When you see the Windows "start-up" menu, select "start in safe mode".
Does your monitor work in this low-resolution (640-by-480 or 800-by-600) mode?
If so, then you had configured Windows to a too-high resolution that the NEC did not support.
Choose 1024-by-768, and click "Apply", to test that the NEC supports this mode.

Try connecting the NEC to some other computer, to see if the NEC itself is the problem.

You don't really need to replace the power supply, you can repair it by replacing the bad capacitors. I've done it to 2 Nec monitors and it works. However I do not believe its you power supply because you are getting the power on light.
