It isn't spraying from the unit or from the hand tool. I have already turned it on/off, checked the rubber gasket on the bottom of the tank. Taken the handle completely off and back on. Held the spray button down for 30 seconds while unit is off. The model number is 9300.

I have long had the same trouble. Only the detergent comes out in the spray - the main tank (water) does not get used. Checked settings, seals, inspected tubing for clogs, tanks full. Seems to be a design flaw!? I have been using it on "heavy traffic" settings with a detergent water mix to get around the trouble, but it is most annoying.

Same problem, only I have only noticed it with the upholstry brush. It would start to sputter and then stop. Then it would start up again strong, only to sputter out. I haven't noticed a problem with the floor sprayers yet. I too to things apart and cleaned everything out. I noticed that when it was sputtering I could see bubbles in the hose and when it stopped the tube in the hose appeared dry also. One belt appears frayed but the other is fine. There is a mixture of water and soap in what was coming out.

Hi, I have a Bissell Pro Heat 2X and have used it maybe 3 times in 18 months. The fourth time I used it the water would not come out and the hand held pipe would not work properly, sputtering and stopping. This is a pain as it is out of warranty so I started unscrewing bits to see what I could find.....here is what I found.

First take off the water tank and unscrew all the screws on top and at the sides. Then unscrew the 2 screws right at the back where the cleaning control is and lift off the plastic unit (after removing the solution tank). There is a polythene cover that has double sided sticky tape on the side. Carefully lift it up, not worrying about the tape as this will either stick to the machine or the polythene and it WILL stick back. You can now prise open the top carefully but not too much. The pipe that feeds the two front outlets will be exposed and carefully squeeze the red catches together and prise each outlet pipe off so they are free and move the whole pipe to the side, so that it is sticking out from under the top cover. I did not lift off the top cover that much as it was difficult to do and I could see something being snapped if I did it too much. If you push back the metal coil things that cover the plastic pipes you may notice that there are bits floating in the water pipe. If there are you will have a blockage at the point the water is supposed to spray out and you need to remove the middle-end white connector from the pipe that goes into the machine. To do this there is a metal spring thing that can be teased off be squeezing the two metal parts of the spring together and pushing back. Once you do one it is easy to do to the others. However for now you just need to twist the clear pipe so the white T connector comes off. If you do the same to the 2 end pipes you will be able to wash and get these bits out. I then put the pipe with the removed T section back as well as I could through the first hole, where the red clip clipped in and put the water tank and solution tank back on (dont bother putting screws in yet. I then flushed the pipes through by pressing the lever at the top over a bucket and nice hot water came out with some black and white bits that were blocking the outlets. Make sure the 2 smaller pipes are cleaned (try sucking the end of each pipe to make sure there are stuck 'bits') and put it all back together. It sounds difficult but take it steady and you will see it is not that hard. Just be careful that everything fits back together under the top plate and screw back. You may need to move a couple of pipes in the machine to make sure you can do the above.

Now I have not tried it properly yet but I have flushed it so no more bits come out and I am sure it will be fine. If you really want to try but don't have a clue what I have been talking about above then i am happy to make a video on youtube just for you! Post a reply! Good luck and remember to clean the machine well and make sure the solution is removed and cleaned through as I am sure this is the issue that causes the clogging. Best wishes, Chessvalley

my bissell won't spray out water when I push the trigger then dumps water from bottom when it feels like it.  Also the spinning gauge is NOT spinning.  I took it completely apart and one tube was completely dry and filled with a chalky substance I followed the tube all the way to the heating devise.  The chalky substance is coming from inside that.  I cleaned it all up and put it back together and it's still doing the same thing.

Bissell stamer model 9300.... I have been trying to figure out why I can not get any suction from the house.... I fiunally figured it out, there is a piece missing. It is the beace tyhat sits on the housing of the machine that when the handle is in the locking position it conects the handle and the tanktogether.Iget suction to the tools dial but the piece to connect the suction to the handle is missing.... It is not listed on the parts list but there is no other explanation that makes sence....

SOURCE: Bissell Pro Heat 2x steam cleaner, problems!

I took the side plastic protectors off because my brushes stopped working. I found one belt almost broken (held together by the fiber to the interior) and when I moved the brush rollers, I found mucho dog hair on the ends. Your rollers might be removed and see if you have the same problem. IT just takes two screws on each end to do this, so if your belts are good, take a look at each end where the metal post goes into it. I have two dogs and their hair is just everywhere!

Have you tried cleaning out the small filterfrom the reserve tank? Also, check the tank/resevoir valve is operating properly, when you take it out to fill try to make water release from tank.
