Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Satellite A55-S326 plug in light in front is flashing amber instead of steady green and will not boot on. It doesn't matter if the battery is in or out. it does it with the battery in by itself as well.

It's the Plug that came with the lap top. And it was working before.

When I initially plug it in The power light flashes green for a second then flashes amber and it seems to flash in a sequence 1,4,2, and 1 again, could that be some kind of code?

Plug in light? Power Light.?

Sounds like it is not getting enough power. Are you sure you are using the correct plug?

My toshiba laptop satellite A55-S326 wont boot. Only can use the escape key then go into bios but still doesn't boot. Tried my recovery disc & it goes thru the instal but then still goes to a blank...

Your install discs are bad. Please don't shoot the messenger. Call Toshiba for new discs. Here is the number (it took me 30 minutes to find this. Please give me a 4-thumbs-up rating. If you don't, I spent time away from family for free).

My toshiba sattellite a55-s326 has a flashing yellow light but won't power up.

Hello,

You may try this; Turn OFF the laptop, remove the power sources (ac adapter and battery). Without power sources, hold power button 10 secs. Put back the power sources, and power ON the NB. If the laptop will not boot by doing this, take it to the nearest repair center to have it check for possible motherboard issue.

Hope this works

Power light is blinking green and amber

my power light flashes green/ amber as soon as it is plugged in, with a dead battery. It seems to go to steady amber if the plug is tapped, but goes back to flashing. It will not hold a charge on a new battery.

: Will not turn on

There is some hardware problem, I would suggest you to take out the ram clean it and re-install them carefully.
If that doesn't work you will need to provide me with a more detailed info about your laptop.

No boot No fan noise no display but lights come on

Somethings has happened to your motherboard, CPU and/or hard drive somewhere along the line if it wont power up when you hit the power button and this would explain the reason for no activity. When a motherboard fails, no activity will happen at all, so Im putting my money on your motherboard being defect so take it in for a service and you may have to buy a new laptop since repairs can be costly.
