There comes error in Yahoo messenger installation, some versions don't compatible with OSs like xp, windows 7. so you only need to remove the setup and again install it through this place - http://messenger.yahoo.com/. I sure your problem will be solved. before installing see the details of the version and compatibility with your computer;s OS. Thank you
Unfortunately, there is no version of Yahoo! Messenger that is compatible with current Linux operating systems, If you have an older version of Linux, you can try Yahoo! Messenger for Linux, which you can download here:
You just can't sign in easily and or it will take you some time before a successfully log in to yahoo messenger if the version of Internet Explorer that comes with your windows operating system did not meet that recommended compatibility with the version of your yahoo messenger.
The best suggestion to solve this problem... is to upgrade the version of your Internet Explorer to version 8 (it's the latest). It doesn't matter if your using other web browser like Mozilla, just upgrade Internet Explorer.
Then unistall your yahoo messenger and install its latest version too, Yahoo Messenger 10.
Uninstall and re-install the software for your webcam. Go to How do I re-install my webcam? for
instructions on how to re-install your webcam software.
Which operating system are you using? Windows xp or vista?? Try install that in safe mode or administrator mode....or try install latest version of Yahoo messenger 10 beta.... or download it from here http://download.yimg.com/ycs/msg/dl/msgr10/us/b4/msgr10us.exe

If you are looking for the most current version of Yahoo Messenger, it can be downloaded from http://messenger.yahoo.com/. If you have previously installed an older version of Yahoo! Messenger, please be sure to uninstall it first before attempting to install the most current version of Messenger. In addition, there are known compatibility issues with MSN and its Messenger that cause it to conflict with older versions of Yahoo! Messenger. (This is what happened to my friend.) Installing the most up-to-date version of Yahoo! Messenger should solve that problem.
