I need to replace a power switch but I can't seem to get the front cover removed. All manuals on the HP/Compaq website do not show this case configuration. Any help?? Also is there somewhere to get diagrams showing how to remove it? Will take any ideas!!!! Thanks

- I can release clips on one side of the front cover but the other side cannot be removed to release.... wondering if I have to remove the cd/disk drives first before getting the front cover off?
You should find screws clips, or both on the back side of the front section. Sometimes you need to push it off from the back. HP can be complicated sometimes.

- Yes sometimes everything has to be released one at a time. Some things could have screws. The CD-Rom will have to be removed sometimes also.
you will find one big button on the side of your comp. and that will release the top part but the rest of them you have to release them from the back of the front of the case. good luck
