No problem, the MP3 player will be OK, You also need a USB cable that connects the MP3 player to the USB port on your computer.
MP3 music files can be downloaded from the Internet, some are free others you have to pay for per song or track. Do a Google search for mp3 music files or you can convert your CDs to mpe music files.
