It's possible you may have a bad switch in the face. sometimes if a switch shorts out or has too low of a resistance it will lock up the microprocessor causing none of the functions to work.

Pioneer audio video multichannel rec vsx-d810s the remote for this unit xxd3028 will not balance the speakers anymore. The batteris are new. What next

Have you tried balancing it from the Receiver?
What happens sometimes is that when the battery dies and you still use it,the buttons on the remote don't work.
The possible reason can be Dust, age of the unit can be another factor.

Pull remote's faceplate off and check the contacts, make sure there is not something obstructing or not allowing your faceplate to make proper contact.. You might need to pullout the screws using a screw driver.

The last option would be to buy a new remote.

Good Luck.

Aiwa CDC-X504Mp stuck in demo mode

This recently happened to my Sony, maybe it will help u

If this cd player has a removal fascia then try..

Carefully inspect the the electrical contacts on the fasica and the cd player. If it has got dirt on them then CAREFULLY CAREFULLY clean with cotton swab dabbed in cleaning Alcohol.

Accidently removed the tiny screws behind faceplate

It could just be a plastic clip that broke. Most of the car stereo's ive taken apart only have a thin ribbon of wires that run into the contacts that your face plate connects to.If you actually took screws out of the faceplate then id put them back in and put it back into your stereo and see if it illuminates properly,if it does not then id search on E-BAY or contact pioneer and buy a replacement but most the time it would be cheaper to just buy new stereo. You might want to be more specific with the area you took screws out of,the way im reading it sounds like you unscrewed the screws in the face dock, not the faceplate.Hope this helps.

No power to Kenwood KDC-4019 faceplate

It sounds like the stereo does not have the "ACC" voltage. It could have blown a fuse. The "ACC" voltage goes to the red wire on the harness and you get that voltage turned on only when the ignition is turned on in the car.

The symptom of the disc ejecting and nothing else works is an indication that only the constant voltage for the yellow wire is connected. Check the voltage on the red wire with the car turned on, if you have that 12 volts at the red wire, then you need the radio serviced.

It is not very likely that the faceplate has gone bad. Just because the radio will not turn on is not an indication that the faceplate is bad. It could be a voltage regulator in the radio or a circuit trace is blown, or almost anything else. There are many reasons that the radio would have the problems you describe and it can only be found out for certain by troubleshooting the radio on a test bench with the proper tools. If you have a multimeter and a power supply I can guide you thru troubleshooting the radio and even email you the service manual in PDF format if you would like to take a crack at it yourself.

Let me know how you want to proceed.

Faceplate not responding / acting very weirdly

Sounds like a bad connection with the faceplate and the multi connector that the faceplate mates with when closed. check for dirt and bent pins on both connectors. Luck
