SOURCE: Refrigerator won't cool. Freezer works fine!

Pierce, there was a service bullitin put out on this model. TDR-0010A-B. Had to do with normal freezer, warm fresh food compartment. Maytag issued a kit that included a new thermostat and damper assy. to solve this problem. Bullitin came out in 2002. If you are not having a defrost issue and all fans are running normal, I would call Maytag and inquire about the above posted bullitin, It may be covered. Catriver...post back.

SOURCE: refrigerator side not cooling - freezer side icing up

It sounds like your defrost system has failed. There is a timing device that turns on the defrost heater(s) which may have stopped working. Or the heaters or defrost thermostat could be bad.

My suggestion is to find a different repair person who is qualified.

If the blinking continues, you may need to “reset” the Refrigerator. Try unplugging the appliance, wait for
around 10 minutes and then plug the power cord back in.

I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator. It has not been cooling very well, it stays between 38-41 degrees. also the ice maker doesn't make a lot of ice and the cubes are smaller in size.

Ice maker want work if freezer bus not around 0F. Are fans running? Is condenser coils clean? Is there any frost build up on inside back freezer wall?

My double door galaxy (5 year old or so) seems to be at the right temperatures but the control reads 56 degrees for the freezer and fridge

Get a thermometer for both fridge and freezer to ensure temps are correct. Freezer should be around 0F and fridge around 37-38. If temps are correct but display is reading that much differently, control is most likely bad.

Sounds like it is in display mode. It will go into display mode by pressing the lighting and freezer buttons for 3 seconds. Hold both down for another 3-5 seconds and it will start cooling.

On our Samsung RS267 and 25.5 cu ft refrigerator, we have an "OF" light on both temperature readouts (freezer and refrig.). What does this mean and how can the problem be rectify so that we will...

If "0F 0F" appears on the display, the refrigerator is in DEMO MODE. To exit Demo Mode for controls on the outside of door, Press and Hold the Energy Saver and Adjust Freezer buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. To exit Demo Mode for controls inside the Fresh Food Compartment, Press and Hold the Ice Off and Freezer buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep and "0F 0F" will no longer be displayed. Adjust Refrigerator and Freezer temperature to the desired settings. Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize.

I have a GE Profile Side by Side Model PSS26PSS2C that will only cool to 44 degrees. Any recommedations as to a solution?

If the freezer temperature is okay, you might want to check the damper control. The airflow from the freezer might be blocked. Now, if the freezer temp is not where it's supposed to be (0F-10F degrees), then you need to check the cold control or there may be an issue with the defrost system.
