Question about Canon MultiPASS MP390 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I installed a new Ink Cartridges in My Canon Multipass MP390 color inkjet printer and now it won't print, Though the machine is on the compartment that carrys the ink cartridges wont even move as it its stuck! Can I fix it myself?

Hi Good day!! well i know that you can fix it. 1st off all is there any message error in your printer? if none then we will try to troubleshoot it in the printer spooler. Printer spooler is located in the services. please try the following.
1. turn off in a few seconds and then turn it on see if the ink cartridge is moving.
2. Click "Start
3. Click "Setting
4. Click "Control Panel"
5 Click "Administrative tools
6. Click "Services you should be on the services box now.
7. in the service box find "Printer Spooler
8. Click "Printer Spooler" all you need to do is to restart the printer spooler Stop and then START it again.
Try to print now hope your ink cartridge move..

I have a Multipass MP390 and the print cartridges won't move. I had experienced no problems before this.


1. Try to change cartridges places with each other.
2. Try clean electrical contacts on cartridges and opposite contacts on cartridges holder in printer.
3. Try to setup new cartridges. Both.

Can't print the black ink


I spoke with technical support at Canon and they determined that the printer has died. There is no solution to this problem, other than getting a new printer. Thanks anyway.

Smeared lines


Okay, this was the problem I posted a few days ago. It's fixed now, so in case you have the same problem with smearing, here's what the help desk from Canon suggested: Open the cover and remove the ink cartridges. There is a gray lever in front of the cartridges. Lift this lever and the printhead can be easily removed.
Our printhead had a buildup of black ink on the surface. I carefully removed this with rubbing alcohol. I let the printhead dry and replaced everything. No more smearing. Imagine a help-desk that actually helped!

No RED color; prints brownish shade instead


I had the same problem until i used every cleaning option on the printer about 10 times. It works fine now.

Problem with colored cartridge


Perhaps your cartride is low on ink, some printers will give you a status inside your printer settings on how much ink is in the cartridges.

Canon printer MP390


My MP390 wasn't printing black, despite the cartridge(s) being new. I reinstalled CD and then it worked. The next time, it did not print again. I, then d/l driver from online...same thing. worked once and then not. Also, it doesn't copy anything in black
