Sony DCR-DVD403 C 13:02 Error Message so won't record movies.

Place an empty disc in, format the disc, record a little scene. Turn off camcorder. Place the error disc in the camcorder, turn on the camcorder all the way to play/edit. If this doesn't work turn it to record and try to record. Worked for some of my error disc

Cd will not eject. Keeps giving message "Now OPC" but will not do anything and will not eject cd either.

To remove a stuck CD from Tascam CC222 MKII

This solved the "Now OPC" problem

1. Unplug unit

2. Remove the top cover, (3 screws on each side and 3 on the back, lift cover).

3. Plug in unit.

4. Power on the unit to observe the drive spindle spinning clockwise, (1" disc on top of drive).

5. Turn off unit, do not unplug at this time.

6. Use a small screwdriver to prevent the drive spindle from spinning.

7. Power on the unit preventing the spin.

8. In approximately 10 seconds the display will read "Disc Error" and the CD tray will open.

9. Remove the screwdriver and the disc.

10. Turn off the unit and unplug.

11. Replace the cover.

12. Use a better quality disc.

Error code HO2 appears after inserting dvd panosonic NV-VP30EB

Hi,

To my knowledge, most H02 errors on a Panasonic DVD player would indicate a spindle error, that is the central motor that spins the disc. Normally, this would require an in-shop repair as electronics is involved, however, you could still try:
  • close the tray with no disc inside;
  • press on the back skip, pause, and play buttons simultaneously and hold for about 4 seconds;
  • when the screen blanks and then "initializing" appears, release the buttons.
Alternately, you can try:
  • remove the top cover;
  • clean the spindle motor with compressed air;
  • manually turn the spindle counter clockwise and then clockwise numerous times to exercise the motor;
  • power on the player, insert a disc and manually assist the disc to start turning.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

I can not get my PSP to bring up games

open the door to the psp and turn it on. hold down a little black switch on the left side of the disc holder near the spindle. if the laser moves up and down and flashes red than the laser is fine. if the spindle spins ups a couple of times its fine. If both are functioning you need to take a qtip and move the laser all the way to the outside of the track b/c it is stuck and can't read the disc properly. let me know if you need more help. thanks

Psp lockout

Based on my experience, this can be due to several things from a bad laser to a bad motherboard or spindle motor, etc... This is not a problem you can fix alone if you're not experienced. When you say "it won't read them" do you also get a disc read error message on the screen, or does the screen stay exactly the same (no message) ? If you answer this I can further pinpoint where the problem is ?
