Your pilot generator is not detecting the flame from your pilot, causing it to turn off the gas valve. The pilot generator to the furnace can be bought at the Home Depot or HVAC parts house.

Does the pilot light stay lit if you continually depress the control valve?
If the pilot light stays lit as long as you keep the valve depressed, then the problem is the thermocouple is bad. The pilot light makes enough electricity via the thermocouple to hold open the gas valve that feeds the burners. If the thermocouple fails to produce that electricity, the gas valve will shut down and switch off the gas flow to the whole unit.

Need some troubleshooting tips on a fireplace. I've got the pilot on but when I flip the wall switch nothing happens.

Most of these unit are controlled with a millivolt signal that is generated from the thermopile.
We see this often at the beginning of the year.
Remove the wires from you wall switch and clean them so you have new metal showing and tighten them back to the wall switch.

With your gas valve in the on position try the switch.

If this doe not work do the same thing to the wires on the gas valve where they hook to the TP/TH connecting and the Th connection.

I own a 1993 (but very seldom used) Sharp R-1830 Over-the-Range Microwave. Worked perfectly until a total death yestereve. The oven light went out last week and now the control panel neither lights or...

There's need to remove the oven from the wall to check and replace the fuse.

Just see the video here to show you how to remove the grille and controller assembly.

The fuse is located between the door switches.

If the fuse blows again as soon as you press "Start" to begin cooking, then you likely have a shorted high voltage capacitor.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

You can find helpful exploded views and order parts at the Sears Parts Direct Web site.

Good Evening. Your fireplace is equipped with a smart valve (SV) to which the valve itself acts as the control. This unit has intermittent pilot or hot surface ignition. Can you clarify to me which ignition this unit has?

Help troubleshooting an FMI GL-850E Gas Fireplace

It sounds like the Ignition Control Module went out, as I've heard the vibrating noise you speak of just before the module "dies." You most likely have the gray Robertshaw control module box located under the fireplace connecting the power to the gas valve. You will need to have a Certified Gas Fireplace Specialist look into this issue and replace, if necessary.

No heat

Obviously everything does not work , otherwise you would have heat. You need to tell the story: is this a new installation? Is this the first time this happened and is it only one season old? Have you checked the gas valve to be open ? Is this unit have an electric connection or a pug-in transformer (like a charger unit ) or is there a battery in the ignition control? Or is it a spark starter like you see on barbaque grills and the spark is not ticking? Or does this unit have a pilot light that first must ignite from the contol unit?
Some pilots get clogged and won't light, therefore the sensor that feels the pilot flame will not tell the gas control valve to operate.Good Luck. Macgivor

You need to bled the line longer and when you get lited hold down for a good minute. When the gas gave out ,there could trash in the line.I would take the line off and blow gas through it undtil you can smell it.

Wall furnace model # SFB50146B Thermal Coupler. Does it have 2 wires?

if the pilot light stays lit, but the burners don't kick on, it's a problem with the thermostat or thermostat wiring, or a problem with the valve inside the gas actuator
