Question about HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I installed a new yellow cartridge when the other was empty. Now it installs, but error message still appears as though it is empty. Will not print. I have $70.00 worth of cartridges that I cannot use if I switch to a new printer.( This is the second one I've had to do this. I took the other back to the store.)
As soon as you have installed the new ink switch off snd restart the printer. If this doesn't clear it, do a full reset.
Make sure the printer is on
Unplug the power lead while the printer is on
Hold Help and OK buttons down while pluging the power back in.
The printer will eventually power off
Release the buttons and restart the printer sing the power button
This clears all residual memory in the printer and should work
Let me know
