Hello

after changing the batteries you should get lights on the keyboard, like numlock and capslock, some wireless keyboards might not have any lights. if yours doesn't well no problem.

What you need to do is to Pair the wireless keyboard and mouse with the receiver that you have connected to the computer. Possibly try another usb port or restart the computer if notings happening.

You need to press on the sync, pair or connect button on the receiver and then within a short amount of time you need to press the reset, sync or pair button on the bottom of the keyboard, in some cases might be on the top. most likely on the bottom.

Depending on the model, you might need to after that press the sync button of the receiver again and then on the mouse or just the mouse.

Post me the brand and model and I'll know more.

Logitech has long warranties, around 5 years or more on most of their products, so if this one appears faulty and another wireless set works fine, then you can probably get it replaced. But more on that once I know what model keyboard it is

Okay seems like the pairing was done in wrong order.

First press button on receiver, then press button on the mouse bottom. Then press button on the receiver and then press button on the bottom of the keyboard.

    see here http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/...

If problem remains then see below.

Do you have the logitech set point software installed?

    http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/...

Follow the above page, it should read Connected on Channel X. if not, try pairing again and check that the batteries are the right way aroud. Also try doing the Securing that is mentioned - shown in step by step on that page, It can not hurt.

Let me know how you get along with it.

Team promark keyboard won't work

If it has a USB plug, try attaching it through a different port hub, i.e. not the usb port right next to the one that didn't work. If that doesn't work, test the usb port with something else first. If the USB port is not the problem, you may need to download a driver for the keyboard.

My acer laptop5920 keyboard is not working properly some keys are giving me second function when pressed for example when i pressed key K, J, L, O,I,M, 0, and other it gives me 2,1,3,6,5,0,/ please kindly...

There are some countries that use the alphabet differently than we do so therefore they make a setting for the keyboard to work under a different program for them. I had the same thing happen to me and I thought I was loosing it. Go into your "control Panel' and double click or right click on the key board and open it up and it may give you the option to change to ASCII. Usually logging completely off then back on clears it up, you might try that. I don't know what makes them jump over like that, I didn't such a thing existed until a few months back. Now that I think about I believe I did just log completely off and let it set a minute or two and when it came back up it was OK. If that doesn't do it log off and pull the batteries and let it set a few seconds, it's programmed to default to ASCII.

Hi!

To determine wether it is a hardware (keyboard itself) or an OS problem, plug an external keyboard to your laptop (you didn't mention the manufacturer or model of your laptop, but even if it doesn't have a PS2 connector, it has almost for sure an USB connector to plug the keyboard in).

Now, if the external keyboard works OK it means no OS problem.

Hope it helped.

I read somwhere that most motherboards have a third layer of conductors laminated in the middle of board. It could be possible that you are shorting out something there. Take the screws out and try it without the heatsink for a minute or so. Most big DUI stores sell plastic screws in their hardware areas. These will work no problem.
