Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a question about my panasonic cinemavision HDTV. Tonight I was watching it and it just shut off. No blinking red power light or anything. So I tried the power button on the remote and set and nothing. I then unplugged it and plugged it back in and when I hit the power button it turned on and the picture came on for like a second or two and then shut off again. It only turns back on when I unplug and replug. In any case I stopped doing it and decided to seek help. Any idea what the problem might be and how I can fix it? I am a med student and really do not have the money to get it fixed so I will try myself if I can. Thank you in advance. Brian Hamzavi

Hello,
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Good luck in solving the problems.....

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

I have a Panasonic cinemavision HD TV rear projection. It turns on and then shuts off as soon as the picture comes up. Can this be fixed?

Almost anything can be fixed.

When it shuts off does the power light on the front blink in a sequence like 3 or 5 blinks then pause and repeat?

The power light keeps flashing and the tv won't turn on. If you unplug for a minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic 1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old.

It is the problem of your transformer. It might have got damaged in lightning or voltage fluctuation. Replace that small and cheap equipment to find your tv work again. When having a new one, go for the best thing available in market or else the new one too will go out soon.

Bad color then no power on 51'' panasonic cinemavision

Check the power light for blink code--usually if this model shuts down the power light will blink in a sequence--3 blinks a pause and 3 blinks is short protection--usually means a convergence circuit problem.

Let me know what you find--I am here to help.

if this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

TV turned off and now the power light blinks three times

Very common problem. 3 blinks means the convergence circuit has failed . Heres a link to the repair kit for your model which contains both convergence IC and the feed resistors and the kit has step by step instructions with pictures so you can easially do the repair yourself.
