Not a common problem with this gun, however here are some things to check. Assuming no air leaks. Bent driver, worn piston oring, dry cylinder, check valve ring not in place or loose and head valve/piston-stop issues.
Push piston/driver with rod to top position (remove from air supply) and notice how difficult to push. If very hard, check for bent driver, dry cylinder or oring too tight. If very easy and piston drops back down with light tapping of nose against wood, oring too loose. If feels about right and piston does not drop down with tapping, suspect check valve or head valve/piston stop. If check valve was in place and snug, driver not bent and oring good /cylinder lubed, pull head valve and check for cracked piston stop or lack of lube and valve hard to push and does not readily return (push in headvalve with thumbs should move in about 1/4 inch and return) .
Check valve ring (897387) is a rubber band on outer part of cylinder covering a row of holes and is what causes piston to retract. The band should fit snugly on cylinder and in proper place. Sometimes this band slips off groove and falls to bottom of cylinder. Lube gun with silicone paste sold at Lowes in the plumbing department and parts at www.toolpartsdirect.com or dewalt service center. Good luck

I have a porter cable roofing nailer model # RN175 that does not advance the nails everytime what causes this?

Some causes, in order of probability:
Roofing nailers get a lot of tar build up on them, especially around the nose safety and nail feed pawl area. Cleaning off this buildup will usually take care of most problems with roofing nailers.
On the side of the gun away from the side you load the nails on there is a small cylinder with a piston inside that attaches to the feeder pawl. If air isn't getting to the piston or the piston's o-ring or spring is damaged, it won't cycle properly to advance the nails.
If the driver doesn't retract fully, the next nail won't be able to advance properly for the next shot. This can be caused by o-rings in the head that are worn or out of their proper place.

FR350 won't shoot nails

Normally I would say you aren't using enough air pressure because somewhere around 80psi (every tool is different) will not be enough to fully retract the driver. At 110 you are fine so that is not the case. I doubt it is broken because a broken driver will still retract unless it broke near the piston. My guess is it needs the o-rings replaced but you can pull the top head and pull the driver out first to make sure. Parts and breakdowns can be found here as DeWalt owns Porter Cable.

My nailer won't put out nails some of the time and when it dose it's 2 at one time and some of the time won't put out at all untill i thump the push bar.

could be a few areas to look at. First does the driver retract fully after firing a nail, if not then I would replace the piston o ring. Do the nails move freely in the magazine, if not the magazine could be bent or possibly you have a problem with the nail collation, they have to slide freely and I think both areas need looked at. If you need more assistance I would need the brand and model number so I can help better.

FR350 nailer ram does not fully retract. Lubed ram and it worked most of the time for the next clip of nails. Now it is back where it started, retracting about two thirds of the way, not enough to get...

Did you rebuild the tool? If not remove all the nails and unplug air, BUMP nose on piece of wood and does driver fall down? If so the pistion o ring needs to be replaced. Also if this is not the case look for a jammed nail in the magazine/nose area. Next check for a bent driver blade. All the above could cause your problem

first make sure you are using the right guage nails. then I would look at the condition of the driver to make sure not bent, also look for a broken nail in the magazine area which will also cause this, lastly does the piston/driver "fall" in the cylinder?? there should be some resistance against the o ring, if not then it could also cause your described problem,

I've had a similar problem and found a nail had broken and lodged itself in the nail housing causing the driver to get stuck forward.

Feeding nails

Your nailer shares design features with Milwaukee and Ridgid. All three brands experience the same issue. Lets go thru a series of simple tests to determine the problem. First and most simple test, manually load the nails and fire the gun untill miss-fire. Upon mis-fire disconnect air, open latch and check if the driver is all the way up into the cylinder or is partially down blocking next nail. If driver is down blocking next nail, replace the driver oring and retest. If driver is up all the way, remove nails, reconnect airline, leave latch open and fire gun against rubber (old tire or coiled up waterhose/airhose) this time holding the gun down and keeping the trigger depressed. In this position, the driver will remain down and feeder will remain retracted. With feeder retracted and screwdriver in hand carefully check the spring tension on the feeder (should be rather firm tension on spring and the feeder must retract with good force). If no tension or weak, replace feed spring. When you finally release the trigger, the driver will retract and the feeder should return with good force. If feeder does not return with force, replace orings and spring behind feed piston. If all tests are ok, remove head, check lower bumper in gun for cracks or missing pieces. Replace as necessary. Lube all orings with silicone lube available at Lowes in the plumbing department. (Danco brand) Good luck on your repair and email your questions.
