Next to impossible to type on Samsung N150 Plus netbook. Cursor jumps all over the place and words insert themselves in other words, etc. Also, have to be conscious of where the cursor is when replying to emails because it defaults over the "Send" button and just blowing on the keypad prematurely sends the email! Not having fun with this netbook.

Be very carefull of aftermarket batteries (cheap), get one from a reputable dealer. Never leave a laptop with battery inserted unattended.

You should be able to press 'F4' at boot time and access Samsung Recovery Software, and then reinstall the back-up that would have been made the first time the netbook was switched on - a 'factory reset'...

Press Fn & F10. This disables the touchpad. You will have to use arrows or a mouse to move the cursor. This helps when you are doing a lot of typing. Press the same keys to enable the touchpad when you are finished typing.

When you type, your thumbs have a tendency of touching the touchpad, those touches are probably treated as "taps" and consequently, the cursor gets repositioned and all of a sudden, you find yourself typing on a different line. It's incredibly annoying.

See if you can go into your computer's Control Panel. Go to Mouse and look for something that allows you to adjust your touchpad's tap sensitivity - you want to make it less sensitive (i.e. something that takes a real tap to register as a tap, cause right now, any glancing blow, or touch, is treated as a tap).

That oughta do it.

I had the same problem and discovered that when I was typing my thumbs where touching the touch pad and that was causing the problem. I now type with my thumbs up and not touching the pad. I hope this helps.

Turn it off and ran again after 1 minute. Allow it to return to its default setting.

See if you are using Enhance pointer precision,if so try and turn it off. Click Start, click Run, type control mouse, and then click OK. Click the Pointer Options tab, click to clear the "Enhance pointer precision" check box,click Apply and OK. If you are using a wireless mouse try changing the battery.You can also go to the mouse control in the control panel.Uncheck the options to "automatically move pointer to default button". Also check the sesitivity of your touch pad , if it set to a high sensitivity and you barely touch it , it could register as a double click.

try installing touch freeze on your system for the touchpad to stop from jumpin around and inserting words , Just Google touch freeze and will will give you all the links where your can download it one would be in softpedia.

Run a spyware, Malware program, SpyBot- 1.62 or Malware Remover, LAVASOFT, and more... clean out the machine.
