Question about Kenmore Dryers
Based on the information posted here and upon reviewing the original problem, the problem now turns out to be a centrifugal switch or the motor itself as a whole. The dryer doesn't stay running because the centrifugal switch fails to throw from the start winding to the main (run) winding or the main (run) winding itself is open. In either case, the motor needs to be replaced since the centrifugal switch is an integral part of the motor. But before you do that, check the motor terminal connections and/or the motor windings.
