Here's what might be a completely idiotic suggestin from a laptop expert...I'm running on IQ poer alone.

Your software is designed to handle songs of limited duration, but must assuredly have a "realease" option on the length. Find that and record at the length you wish.

This happens when you use a SW that is on trial. They do not give you full access. The rider here is that you can record only for a certain period. If it is a trial version then you may have to buy a full version hat will allow you to record unlimited.

Hi,

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Resulting mp3 files are HUGE

Are you certain that you're recording in MP3 format? That large file size seems much like .wav files than .mp3 thing.

But if that's really .mp3 file, you may need to adjust the bit rate&sampling rate.Typically, 12 kbps and 44.1 KHz would be a good starting point.

And about shrinking files you've already done, try file convert software(s) around the web(try Google it).Too many of them to recommend here. But I personally use Wavepad Sound Editor for record, edit and save files in various format.

Ion profile pro -- recording picks up background sound

If you're picking up background (room) sounds the TT pickup is acting as a microphone. Isolate it physically from air- and room-borne vibrations. Turn your speakers down so they don't add to the problem, or use headphones while recording.

I am running Windows XP. I have 2 problems. (1)I rip CDs using itunes having set the default format to MP3. Then I use windows explorer to move the albums to the music file of the sansa clip. However, some...

1) You need to set the "tags" in the music files ... artist, album and song name. I would suggest opening up the files in MediaMonkey, which will let you edit the tags.

2) After you download the podcasts with MediaMonkey, you need to find out where they exist on your disk. Then, copy them to your Clip using Windows Explorer.

I have purchased a turntable with ez audio converter. I record one side of an album and it says recording complete. I click next and after a minute the software opens itunes and says converting temp1. Wait...

You can record the entire album, both sides without having to press next. When the entire album has been recorded then press next, you will a dialog box that allows you to name the album and songs. Make sure you have the most up to date software from the ION website- that is if you have an ION turntable. Go to ION website and locate your turntable- software will be on that page. Run it and it should correct any problems.

EZ Audio Converter does not export files to iTunes

I've had exactly the same problem, and so far no resolution from Ion. A small bit of good news: the .wav files are on the hard drive, although without any track info. At least on Vista, they are in username/AppData/Local/Temp. The files are name Temp0, Temp1, Temp 2, ...

You can use iTunes to add these files (File/add file) and then convert them to .mp3s, or whatever format you prefer. Or you could convert them first using the tool of your choice, such as Audiograbber.

This is inconvenient, but a lot better than re-ripping the vinyl after EZVinyl hangs.
