I have seen this before, but you never said if it works. (1) verify its not broken...haha just kidding. make sure your plug is not damaged...not kidding. (2) make sure the outlet is a good one. (3) if its usb powered then make sure pc verifys that its connected (4) those little leds burn out and replacing then is to costly so I would replace scanner or just use it as long as it working.

Remember that LEDs last a long time and they are not replaced like a bulb.

The scanner is not reaturn back in the right place.

Turn the printer off. Unplug it from the power source. Press and hold the power button for 45 to 60 seconds. Then plug it back into the power source and turn the printer back on. This is called a "hard reset" and should return the scanner position back to default.

Good luck!

Compute turns on, lights light up, and fans move, but there are no beeps or bios showing up.

Hi,

Computer turns on but no display. This issue is commonly caused by electrical static on the motherboard. Try doing a power drain.

If this computer is a laptop:
1. Turn the computer off by pressing the power button for a bout 5seconds.
2. Take the battery out of the computer.
3. Unplugged the ac adapter.
4. Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. (without any power source)
5. Put the battery back in and plug the ac adapter back into the computer.
6. Turn the computer back on.

If this computer is a desktop:
1. Turn the computer off by pressing the power button for a bout 5seconds.
2. Unplug the power cable from the computer.
3. Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds. (without any power source)
4. Plug the power cable back into the computer.
5. Turn the computer back on.

Thank you for choosing FixYa! have a good one!

MY SCANNER WILL SCAN PRINTS BUT NOT TRANSPARANCIES THE SCANNING LIGHT WORKS ON PRINTS BUT NOT TRANNYS, ANY IDEAS PLEASE

Flatbed scanners that can scan prints and transparences had two light sources.
One for normal prints (ie reflective light source, the light shines from under the glass to the print/photo and reflects off this print/photo to the optical sensor).
On a scanner that can scan transparences there is a second light source in the lid that shines through the transparences pass the glass to the optical sensor. The light source under the glass is not used in this case.
The scanning software automatically selects the right source when you select to scan prints or transparences.

Hp laserjet3030 is put on it shows" Scanner Error"

Hi ritaccpl: Here is your problem. 52 Scanner Error The all-in-one has experienced an internal hardware error. 1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds. 2. If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Plug the all-in-one directly into the wall socket. 3. Check the FFC connection between the formatter and the scanner. NOTE Do not bend or fold the FFCs during the removal or reinstallation process. 4. Try connecting the product to a different power source or surge protector. 5. Turn on the power and wait for the all-inone to initialize. 6. If the error persists, replace the laser scanner assembly. Hope this helps

Hp 3055 no lingt on the control pannel, no power up, no warm up, it just like pluck off machine. nothing comes on.. what is the problem? anyone experience it? please give me a hand... thanks

Hi benkoh76: Here is your problem. Troubleshooting checklist Follow these steps when trying to solve a problem with the all-in-one. Step number Verification step Possible problems Solutions 1 Is the power on? When the all-in-one is connected to a grounded power source and is turned on, the control panel shows Hewlett-Packard with moving cursors indicating that the firmware code is loading, and the main motor rotates for approximately 45 to 60 seconds. When the firmware is done loading, Scanner bulb warming up might appear on the control-panel display, and the scan head moves back and forth for 10 to 15 seconds. If you lift the scanner cover, you will see that the scanner bulb is lit. Near the end of this time, the ADF motor turns on for about two seconds. No power as a result of a failed power source, cable, switch, or fuse. 1. Verify that the all-in-one is plugged in. 2. Verify that the power cable is functional and that the power switch is on. 3. Check the power source by plugging the all-in-one directly into the wall or into a different outlet. Motor does not start. 1. Verify that the all-in-one is plugged into a working electrical receptacle. 2. Verify that the print cartridge is installed correctly. Follow the instructions on the control panel to remove and replace the cartridge. 3. Verify that the top cover is closed. ADF motor does not start. Open the ADF cover and remove any orange shipping tape inside the ADF. Verify that the ADF connector is connected correctly to the scanner. If the ADF motor still does not rotate, replace the ADF. Scanner bulb does not light. If the scanner bulb does not light, verify that the wire-harness connectors from the scanner to the formatter are connected correctly. If the error persists, replace the following components one at a time until the problem is resolved: scanner assembly, formatter. Hope this helps

Plugged in but no power?

I would recomend checking the fuse in the wire or plug you are using, if that is good i would then take a test light and check the power to my leads, most scanners operate on a 12volt source with a small inline fuse, so just check all the voltage and grounds good.
