Buck up now. You did good turning it off. Check the oil and water as described below and then fire it up again.

The power washer is your friend, but do NOT wash off your shoes while wearing them. Or rinse your dog or your hand >> it will blow a hole in aforementioned.

1) Your water has to be turned on before firing up the pressure washer. Simply squeeze gun trigger while starting engine. Do NOT wire the trigger closed to start or use power washer wand. That is a good way for the thing to break free and punch a hole in your pants.
2) You need oil in engine and in pump > engine oil comes about half way up dip stick > pump oil comes up to middle of viewing window on pump head.

That's all there is to know. I think your new engine had a growing pain, and things are fine.

Honda is a good engine. We ran our first Honda power washer for years until it fell off the trailer upside down and the chain kept it tied to the trailer until the gas tank was sanded off by the freeway after which it caught fire for a bit. You will have better luck.

Pull the cord with the lever in position 1, when it tries to run, put it in position2 and pull the cord again. Once it starts running, wait 30 seconds and put it in position 3. Operate in position 3 and hit the stop button when you are done.

Lawnmower fuel pop

Does your lawn mower or small engine give a big pop or bang when u shut it off after it has run and heated up for a while? I think this is from the hot exhaust egniting the gas fumes still coming through the engine. This may clean the carbon out of the muffler, but it may shorten the life of the head gasket. Either or it sure does scare bystanders, and wakes up the neighbors. To keep this from happening, just let the engine run at low idle for 30-40 seconds before shutting of the spark. Works for me.

Philips tv with sound going in and out

Try bypassing the set's speaker by running an external audio amp. I use my bookcase stereo for audio direct from the satellite receiver and turn the volume off on the TV. Sounds better this way! Could be the audio amp in the TV is going bad or the speaker may be bad and the TV's audio amp goes through a shut down cycle.

ther is no set setting but to get it to run so it can be adjusted. lightly close the high off then open the low about two turns. try to start if starts slowly adust the low screw till it runs normal with the choke all the way off. then start to add throttle while turning the high out till regiured rpms ar reached with no misses. this takes awhile even fo a seasoned mech and may require several attempts

Back fires everytime i shut it down after

When you finish cutting, bring the engine down to idle for about 30 seconds (some say 5 or 10 seconds but I have found a little longer doesn't hurt anything and sure doesn't scare the heck out of you) before you shut it off, If you shut it down wile it is still turning fast, it will continue to feed fuel into the cylinder and out into the hot muffler where the heat ignites the vapor causing the backfire.

Homelite 4618c runs fast when it should idle.

Hi Crackdpot,

If it's still under warranty, anything you do to it will void it. My best advice is let them handle it. They most likely will have seen the problem before and know exactly what to do about it.

Bottom line: It's their headache, let them handle it.

BTW, I have several Homelight machines. Despite their minor problems, they continue to serve me well.

Best regards,

Mike

Loud popping noise

The 23" CRT set may have a high voltage breakdown in the flyback transformer or focus divider. Take the back off and operate the set in a dark room. Look for anything that has a blue glow around it or sparks flying when the pop occurs. I won't guarantee this will find your problem, but it is definitive if you see these!

I once had a set with these symptoms. I stopped the blue glow and arcing by covering the focus divider with epoxy. It worked for a couple of months before the divider literally broke apart.

Loud Pop, blown Breaker

Pull the unit away from the wall and inspect from rear. However, if all is fine, perhaps you simply overloaded the circuit that once. Were you running any other appliances (overhead microwave) at the same time?

Panasonic PT-53WX54 What is that popping noise?

A loud popping noise, like a sharp "snap!", is usually caused by high voltage arcing. Somewhere in the high voltage system an insulator may be cracked or loose, such as the plastic around the flyback transformer or one of the rubber cups on a picture tube. When the high voltage arcs, it momentarily drops and the picture could go out for a split second. High voltage is dangerous in projection sets so allow a qualified tech to service it for you.
