Cant get the data on my external hard drive
i have an old acomdata external hard drive. it came with only a 98windows installer cd drive. none of my new laptops work on 98windows. when i try to turn it on, a funny noise can be heard and the light turns blue and red. the external hard drive does not get read by the lap top.
is there anyway i can still get the data on it. i got alot of pics and music on it.

Is the drive connected by USB? Or is there some other cable used? It could be a cable/driver issue. Need to know more.
