Philips 60pp9202 will not power on

Started all of the sudden. Hit power button and nothing. Tried different outlet, etc. Where should I start? Could it be a fuse inside?

You should check the high voltage regulator inside the TV. Very common problem for this series. Be careful when removing them, it contains high voltage static charge in those capacitors.

The power printed circuit board is failing, not
delivering the proper power to the main board and/or the back lamps. One can
have this board repaired inexpensively by a electronic technician. Email me at Sprint6@zoominternet.net
and we may be able to get your unit working properly again.

Stuck on menu screen

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

Projection TV Phillps 60PP9202/17F, bought 2004. Was watching and suddenly the picture went out. All connections are good and components work. Can you help?

Hi.

If there is no power at all, then it is either the power cord or power board inside the TV.

If after the fault the TV went in standby and does not wake up, then the TV is in protect mode.

In protect mode higher voltages from PSU gets shut down and TV remains in standby.(see also Why my TV does not start up and remains in...)

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so. Then connect powr

If that does not work, and you keep having the TV in protect mode, it means that there is a fault.

In that case call the support number listed on Philips user manual to arrange repair.

If you are a technician I can try locating parts, service manual and giving more directions. Common faults that affect a Philips rear projections are convergence, PSU board, lamp and ballast assembly.

Regards.

Does not get power from any wall outlet

First thing you may want to do is pull the back cover and see if the fust is blown next to the power cord. Make SURE the power cord is pulled before you try this. You could have had a power surge that caused it to go out, but usually this points to a larger problem. It's a good first pass thick to check though.
