LOUD Woodpecker noise

When I turn the machine on it makes an extremely loud woodpecker-style noise- I called Sharp support and they had me go in to program and manually force it to try to run without toner or drum in unit and it still made the loud noise so problems with those can be overruled, also the machine is set to unlock so no issue there. They told me to send in for service for over $250!!! Anyone know what it might be and if there is a quick fix? I haven't unscrewed the paneling yet but wanted to see what some suggestions might be first. THANK YOU!

I have the same problem with a Sharp AL-1631. I opened up the drawer to place more paper when still making a copy. After this, I got the LOUD Woodpecker noise and cant use the multi-bypass tray. I still get copies using paper from the drawer, but the noise is still there. I looks like a gear is rotating and hitting a plastic part. The noise comes from the multi-bypass tray and side cover.

I tried the following but the noise is still there and cant get copies from paper loaded in the multi-bypass tray:

    1. Turn off/on.

    2. Copy without the paper tray.

    3. Copy without the TD cartridge.

Is there any solution for this?

Woodpecker problem

Since this question is in the Washing Machine category, I would tie a string to the lid of the washing machine, and put woodpecker food inside it. When the woodpecker flies in to get the food, pull the string and the lid ill close, catching the woodpecker.

Make extremely loud noise when you first turn it on and it heats the water and again after each cup of coffee

This the water pump when is working. It should make loud noise. In extreme case in very loud but after a while it become less loud. If just consider that other smaler models have a smaler pump which is silent pump but they dont have it work always so in you case you a very good coffee result.

My built in side by side is making a noise about every 30 minutes or so that sounds like a woodpecker pecking on it...about 10 times. It is driving me crazy! Have any idea what this might be?

I have the exact problem with my built0in side-by-side Monogram. 1 yr 3 months old, and it sounds m=like a woodpecker for 3 seconds approximately 1ce/hr. Does not appear related to ice maker. You can create the sound by changing the temp setting on the drawer at the bottom. As you command a lower temp, the sound happens a couple seconds. Actually sounds like a solenoid opening and closing at 60Hz frequency, as though a control board were feeding AC to a DC coil. Any ideas? Fortunately, this fridge has a 2 year warranty, but this should not happen to a $6K dual condenser fridge in just over a year!!

Sharp AL1642 CS Copier Grinding noise and Paper Jams

Loud clacking sound, jamming in fuser ? sounds like the gear that turns the fuser are bad and not meshing together,
accordion jam is the fingers or claws that ride on the fuser roller are probably worn out ( these can be replaced usually 3-5 ).

You can buy the parts and replace them yourself if a handy person, not that difficult.

Truck won't start, lights, gauges, radio works, loud clicking ( like a woodpecker ) noise coming from down under engine area

sounds like your starter has a dead spot. time to replace. you can try to get it going by having someone hold the key in the start position and tapping the starter with a small hammer. Just make sure the truck is in park and has the hand brake on for safety. If this works, you just saved a tow charge.

A technician should look at this. There could be a gear going bad on it. Ive see a fee cases where the drum gets bad and cant turn any more.

Are there error codes on the screen?

Make sure the right door where the bypass tray is closed all the way.
