It sounds like a faulty cam have you tried an external web cam this may trick the onboard one in to working.
if the on board device is detected in the device manager uninsall it and it should re-install itself the next time you boot up.
or try the msi web site look for support downloads then select your computer it should be a drop down list and down load the drivers for it.
