When you drag a file from one window into another window, the file copies itself to the new area. It's essentially the same as "copy and paste", except it's accomplished in one motion rather two, or, several steps.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi, My formula will not give me the correct sum when I drag it down into new columns even though the formula is correct. Please advise

What happens if you copy the formula from one cell and paste it into another? Sometimes formulas don't drag correctly. This can happen especially when you have more complex formulas. Another thing that can throw off the drag and drop copying of formulas are hidden rows or columns.
If a copy paste doesn't fix the issue than reply with the exact formula and a snippet of your data so I can troubleshoot it better.

Copy & Paste - Drag & Drop of Files and Folders

Do you find it difficult to drag and drop? Copy files from one folder to another OR move a file from one folder to another? Try this:
  • Open the Windows Explorer. How? Hold down the [WIN] key together with E key. Make this window size in between MAXIMUM and MINIMUM.
  • Open one more window and size it medium as before.
  • Adjust the positions so that you can see both windows side by side
  • Select a drive and folder from one window.
  • Slowly drag it and drop it to an empty space in the other window.
  • If you hold down the [CTRL] key while dragging, you will get a duplicate in the second folder.
  • OR highlight a file from one window , right click, then click on COPY; Now click into the next window, right click on an empty space and click on PASTE

How do I copy and paste

You can right click a file or folder and the option menu shows the copy and paste command.just select copy then open the folder or file location where you want to paste then right click and select paste.another easier method is to drag and drop by right clicking and holding down the key whilst moving mouse.ladtly you can highlight and word sentence URL or file and press the shift key along with v for copy...then shift key along with p for paste.

Usb flash drive how to use

On Windows systems you may drag and drop or copy and paste.
Bring up your flash drive by double clicking it : Start - Computer -click on the flash drive.. Make that window smaller by clicking on the square "windows" icon if you want . Then you can open the files you wish to copy, highlight them and right click "copy" then click on the flash drive window and right click and "paste" Or you may open both the flash drive window and the files you wish to copy window and drag and drop them into the flash drive window by clicking on the file and holding the mouse button down while "dragging" it into the flash drive window then releasing the mouse button.

You can just drag and drop it to the USB drive.
