What did the original heater look like when you removed it? Was it burned in two? Make sure you are getting air circulation over the heater. Check your lint filter and air exhaust piping. Flapper outside on the exhaust pipe may be sticking.

Amana dryer dle330raw not heating

When a dryer won't heat, the most prevalent issue is the heating coil. Getting to it can be a bit of a problem, but after you do, you can check it's conductivity with a volt meter.. It's likely not passing current through, and thus not heating up - much like what happens when the eye goes out on an electric stove or the heating element in an electric oven.

Will not heat up

This probably the easiest dryer to work on. The heating element is mounted on the rear left hand side and is held to the back wall with 2 screws. The limits fuses and element are all mounted on the heating element. 6dce3526-c552-4e91-8bc9-74c3ca2335ef.jpg

Recently moved to new house. Dryer was working before, now it runs, drum turns but doesn't heat. Have tried adjusting fabric setting. Outside vent is clear and blows while running.

more than likely the heating element is not working. if there's no heat at all, this is probably the culprit. you have to gain access to the heating element to test it for continuity. no continuity=bad element=needs to be replaced. if you can get this far, then it's easy to change it out.

Where is the heating element on a amana dle dryer

Depends on the model. Usually on the back lower left side under tub or right behind the tub in the top center. The frist location you remove the front panel to get to element and the second location the lid has to be raised up

Super capacity Amana dryer is less than 3 years old. It no longer dries the clothes. There is no heat.

check your heating element in the back of the unit for breaks, if there is not heat that is your problem. the other issue can be a fuse that blew not letting power get to the heating element but the easiest and cheapest thing to look at first is the heating element

I have a Amana DLE330RAW everything works, but it won't heat?

A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

HEating element

The heating element is located in the bottom left corner. You will need to remove the drum for access. Once you have the drum out of the way, look for a square box with wires attached. There are 10mm fasteners that hold the heating element to the vent. Rome the screws, mark the wires and positions then remove the heating element. Before replacing the element make sure the thermal fuse and the high limit switches are not faulty.
