When you start the dryer the drum turns but door fails to lock then it stops and all the lights flash

This could be the belt on the drum that has come off the pulley or the motor, it may have broken. It might also be a bad switch on the door or the pulley, it could also be a bad control board.

Very rare a motor fails on a hoover drier normally its the capacitor that fails. you can hear the motor humming but the drum wont rotate to proof its the capacitor turn the machine on press start listen for the motor humming open the the door of drier turn the drum by hand fast then shut the door as fast has possible then the drum should start going around . then this proves its the capacitor fault you are doing the job of the capacitor giving the motor a start .

sounds like the door lock mechanism. if this cannot signal it has engaged, to the board, no other function will work (you don't want the washer going with the door open, trust me :) )

The fact that the light bulb is out *and* the drum continues to spin when the door is opened - all point to a faulty door switch.

This switch tells the machine the "status" of the door position. When the door is open, it turns on the light *and* stops / prevents the drum from starting. When closed, the light is shut off *and* the drum is permitted to spin. You should have the switch serviced as if a wire came loose it adds a potential shock hazard - in addition to the safety issue of placing hands into a spinning drum.

I is this all the time on the LTF2140ES2 models. You will need to replace the door lock assembly. They fail quite often and cause the problem you are having.

unfortunately your motor is locked up. Try this, with the door open depress the door switch and have some one push the start button while you turn the drum by hand if it starts then you'll know the start winding on the motor is failing

The door latch has failed, that's why your dryer stops. When the door opens it stops the drum and turns off. Fix the latch.

My he3 dryer does not have a door lock. The door switch turns off the light and allows the dryer to start. Make sure this switch is not damaged. Unplug the dryer before removing the front cover.

F22 Error means
DOOR LOCK ERROR
after 6 failed attemts to lock the door.
Possible Causes/ Procedure 1.-*Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door. 2.-Door  switch/ lock unit failure. Check door switch/ tock unit. 3.- Check the wire harness connection to the door switch / lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU).
