I just replaced my laptop battery - BATBL50L6. My charge light flashes orange. Win7 says plugged in, not charging. shows 0%. I tried reinstalling the ACPI battery monitor in DM.

try putting the old battery back in and see if you get the same problem. Also check where the chargers plug goes into the laptop. If it fits loosely your charger port needs replacing.

This could indicate a bad battery. Try removing the battery and powering on the laptop. If the power LED remains white then you have a problem with the charging circuit. That means your battery could be defective or the battery charging circuit on your motherboard is faulty.

Motion Computing C5 Tablet PC won't power on

Hi! I do understand that you are having the problem on the laptop turning on. Try another option, turn off laptop, remove cables and battery, press and hold power button for 10 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery on the laptop. Then turn it on. If the laptop did not turned on, remove the power cable and turned on the laptop. If still didn't, remove the battery and insert the power cable. If still did not work then check if there lights flashed on the laptop when turning it on. If still does not, then you need to contact the pc manufacturer for repair and possible replacement. Otherwise, if there is light on the laptop, then there might be a problem either the battery or the power cable itself. If there is light on the laptop but no power cable, most likely the monitor did not work simply because the battery works due to the fact that there is light on the laptop. On the other hand if there is light when plugging in the power cable on the laptop, then you need to check and insert another battery if it works. Otherwise you need to replace the battery...

My dell laptop won't turn on and the two lights

what is the pattern that these lights flash or do they just blink repeatedly?
there is a chance that you will need to replace the system board on this laptop. continually flashing lights usually are an indication of a faulty system board or power supply. with a dell, these are on the same part.

Flashing battery light orange three times then one green?

Try charging your battery for about 30mins, light orange still came up it means your battery is faulty. To confirm, take out your battery and plug in power. If it turned on, i strongly suspected it's a battery faulty. You need to replace it.

Laptop won't turn on

The blinking orange battery light generally indicates that the battery isn't working properly, usually going out and not charging properly. In this case, since the adapter will not power the machine without the battery, and it should, I'm going to say that the adapter is going out and not getting the proper amount of power to the system. Try replacing the adapter. Be sure to replace it with a Dell replacement, the Targus brand universal adapters do not work well with Dell machines, and in most cases won't work at all.
