Should be able to read the model number right off of the compressor......(the big black dome shaped thing). That model number tells the btu/hp which translates to tonage. It also lists the electrical data such as voltage.

Comfortmaker

need more info on condenser itself the model number not coming up but the nomenclature u gave looks to be a 4 ton unit. why I say that is the 48 normally represents the btu's 12000 btu per ton. so 48 represents 48000 btu 4 ton. now this depends on your house 400 square feet per ton is a rule of thumb without doing a proper house inspection. how many windows type of windows all kind of stuff. so 4 ton is roughly good for a 1600 square foot house depending on all kinds of variables. if I can get a full model even if it shows ----00-- something like that I can give you a for sure answer. u may even get an r-22 unit which u can buy only as a dry unit companys still make them but can no longer ship them with r-22 in the they come charged with nitrogen which will save you a few grand on install because you don't have to change the indoor coil to a proper sized 410 a coil or the lineset. be aware of contractors who tell u to keep the indoor coil they will add a expansion valve and flush the lines with r-11 or rx-11 flush u wont get the efficiency or 100 percent working condition of a mix mash system.

I need to know how many ton air condenser I need for my house?

400 cfm per ton
1 cfm per square foot

Only calculate living space in home, bedrooms, living area, etc. Do not count hallways, interior closets, etc. Only measure the garage if you are trying to condition that space as well.

If you have an "actual" 7000 sq. ft. home, you will need 17.5 tons.

This is usually achieved with multiple units for a residential building.

Hope this helps!

Morning, I got a external unit SH24BP2X samsung fro air conditionning, and I'ld like to buy an indoor unit. Is anybody can give me ref which match with this unit. I need 5/6 kw heating power. Thanks...

The 24 in your model number means 24,000 btus. There is 12 thousand btus in a ton of cooling. This makes your unit a two ton. You can buy a air handler sent up for two tons of cooling and then buy what every electric heat pack that you need. let me know. wally

Need to know how many tons this AC unit is

To find out the tonnage, I would need to see the model number. If you can go to the out door unit and write down the number or look for this in the numbers and letters. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling. I don't know if you have a central unit or a window unit, but look for numbers like this. 018, is a 11/2 ton, 024 a 2 ton, 030 a 21/2 ton, 036 a 3 ton, 042 a 31/2 ton, 048, a 4 ton, they don't make a 41/2 ton, and it go's to 060 a 5 ton. This is the largest for a residential that is made. From there they make units for commercial buildings that start at 71/2 tons up to 350 ton's on 10,000' warehouses for wine storage and so on. This is larger then a train box car. You may want to write this down and keep it as most people have no idea how to tell, and now you do. Please don't forget to rate me as I know you will be kind. Let me know if you need my help for any thing.
Sincerely,

Goodman 3 ton outside unit fan not blowing

Motor, wiring and/or capacitor. If the sticker on the side of the motor isn't burned off you can get the motor info off that. Model numbers from the motor do little for locating the motor but my help. Best thing to do is get the AC motor specs and look up online (cheapest) or go to a motor shop. The specs you need would be as follows.
Horsepower-Such as 1/4 or 1/3
Voltage-Most likely 240/1 (240vac single phase)
Rotation-CW/CCW looking at the shaft end of the motor
Amps
Frame size
