It has to do with the scanner. Its bound on something, dirty rail, but its not moving side to side properly or fast enough

Are you sure it's really turning off? My camera goes into a "sleep" or power down mode....a slight pressure on the shutter button wakes it up and it's ready to shoot.

How can i slow the shutter speed on my Nikon Coolpix L100


technically you cant, the l100 is an all automatic camera, meaning you cant manually set the ISO, aperture, or shutter speed... a good way to slow the shutterspeed would be to autofocus on something similar but darker, then keep that focus for the origonal shot...

The L100 series has a bad reputation for overheating. I worked on a friends and had to reseat the heatsink for the processor with new thremal paste to keep it running

An L100 would cause that error code. there is a scanner lock located to the left of the machine.
