It sounds like you have subwoofer system that requires satellite speakers for the high frequencies. If you have these satellite speakers, but are getting no sound, either you have connected them incorrectly, or there is a problem with the amplifier that drives the satellites.

I turn on my subwoofer and the volume is turned down and it makes a loud buzzing sound, and its not even hooked up to the amp, just pluged in. Thank you, Joel Arntsen

You might have blown the speaker. This happens when you play things too loudly and you ruin the speaker inside. You can test this by playing something with a decent amount of bass and turned up a bit. If you hear like a "rattle" in the sound or like something isn't right in the heavy bass notes, then you definitely blew the speaker out. This isn't a tragedy. They're fixable if you bring them to a place that repairs speakers. But I would definitely test it first by hooking it up and playing a loud song with a lot of bass. Hope that helps a little! When I hook up my speakers the music sounds horrible its like the bass is not transfering over to the speakers how do I fix this problem

Lets check the simple stuff first. Check the speaker calbes and make sure that they are both hooked up the same way. If you have colored cables, then make sure that both "red" (for example) wires are connected to the positive(+) terminal of the speakers. If you have one to + and one to -, you will get sound out but lose the bass. This is because the speakers will be out of phase. This is the most common cause of the loss of bass response.

If that does not resolve the problem, please check with headphones to confirm that the problem is with the amp and not the speakers. Update this with your results.

Thanks,
Dan

Sound quality bad i can hear bass but really no treble or mids

Could be that those speaker components (mid-range spkr., tweeter) are blown. Try hooking up a similar type speaker and see what happens.

They also try to play the bass

a crossover cuts the certain tones out of the sound.example: the high side cuts out low and mid tones,or the mid side cuts out high and low. The only problems this could be is that the crossover is not set right or not wired right. These speakers should be plugged into the high side of the crossover. If wired right and set right then your crossover is no good.

Crate Bass Amp B100 - No sound.

Do you happen to have another speaker that you could hook up to speaker output? This would bypass the amps internal speaker and lf you get sound from that setup, it would mean either a jack failure or possible internal speaker problems. Please let me know.

Sound is coming out but no bass

Make sure that the rca cables that you have coming out of the deck to the amp arent switched to highpass(no bass) and check the amp and make sure that the crossover is set to lowpass(LP) see if that helps

Bass speaker moving in out more then normal

If you can't hear the difference maybe the bass frequency which is moving the speakers is below your hearing range.

I think you may have a "loudness" button on that amp -- if you do, turn off the loudness -- this is a bass booster.

But, in general, bass speakers are designed to move in & out a lot. They have to move a lot of air to produce the bass sound.

If you're saying you hooked the Bose speakers directly to the Yamaha's amp instead of the prescribed way through their own bass module - they're cooked.
