sadly i have no solution, but i do have the problem too. Tried watching a dvd and listen to the radio: works like it should. But watching tv doesnt seem to have the audio support. I tried using a scart cable and also a scart cable that goes from scart to the three tulip thingies (im not an expert :D), the aux2 im talking about; yellow, white and red.

Do you have an Optical Audio cable going from the A/V receiver to the TV? If not, you need to get one. Since the HT-Z310 only has HDMI output and no input there is not audio bypass. Once you connect an Optical Audio cable from the receiver to the TV, anything that goes through the TV (cable audio, PS3 or Xbox 360, DVDs, Radio) will go through the receiver, too.

How do i get the sound from my Philips TV into my samsung 2.1 home cinema system?

Hi,

To get sound from any TV (including Philips) to an amplifier or a home cinema system, the TV should have a LINE OUT RCA pair. Thereafter, it is a simple case of connecting said Line OUt to one of the INPUTs of the cinema system.

Often (but not all), Cinema Systems have their own TV tuner and would provide a video out that could be connected to the Video IN of the TV.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
