Well I dont know what computer you have, or how familiar you are with computers. Depending on the issue there may be some things you can try but the best bet is to contact the manufacturer for a set of recovery discs.

I have never seen any quick link to download them online. But you can check the manufacturers website, just browse down to your model of laptop and check out whats available. I wouldnt invest to much hope in finding anything though.

How to install Recovery disc on your laptop/computer

Formally, when you purchase a laptop or desktop computer, an operating system disc comes with it. But these days, such disc does not come with most laptop or desktop computer because it is already installed in them which is called recovery disk. This has a great advantage, because if it was on a disc, it will have a scratch and it cannot last forever because it might get lost or damaged. So, having it already installed on your laptop or desktop computer by your computer's manufacturer is a very good idea.

Most people are not aware that this recovery disc is on their laptop or desktop computer. And some might know, but don't know how to use or install it.

A Recovery disk is used to repair windows operating system when it has a virus or when operating system is malfunction. Reinstalling windows with recovery disks helps to recover your computer from any damage.

First, you need to confirm whether your laptop or desktop computer has a recovery disk on it or not. To confirm, click Start Menu, scroll to "My Computer" and click on it. Beside your system's "Local disk (C:)" you should find "RECOVERY (E:)" Click on the recovery disc and you should find a golden padlock with "RECOVERY" in front of this. Also confirm the and make sure it's is a minimum of 6GB.

Now, to install/run your system's recovery disk, go to;"Start menu" > "All Programs" > "Backup & Recovery" > "Recovery Manager". Read and follow instructions and you will definitely perform the recovery successfully.

Lastly, make sure you perform the recovery white your laptop adapter plugged to AC and do not run the recovery on battery. There must not be interruption of any kind in the process of the installation.

Good luck.

Sony vaio VGN-cs15gn/b recovery cd

Hi,

The computer is shipped with Recovery Center. There are no system recovery discs included with the computer. The recovery data required to return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition is included on a special partition of the hard drive. You can use the same to create Recovery discs, please follow the steps mentioned below to create the recovery discs for your computer model.

My VGN-CR410E laptop looking for installation disc. I failed to make recovery disc? What should I do?

From the information provided, I understand that you are not able to create Recovery Disc from Recovery Center. You can launch Recovery Center by using F10 key. For this, restart the Computer keep pressing the F10 keey when the VAIO logo appears. If you are still not able to enter into the Recovery center, it is required to purchase Recovery disc from Sony.
Please go to the link below for purchasing recovery disc from Sony.

How do i reset my laptop bk to factory setting when the partishon has been deleted containing the recovery

You may be able to buy a recovery disc, but i am not sure if this needs the partition with the recovery files, or if it is like a computer specific OEM version of windows.
You could search on torrent sites (isohunt) for a recovery disc for your make of computer ( if you are ok about using torrent sites) try here for a recovery disc

How do i recover my computer

Hi,

Did you do a recovery disc when you first purchased it, if so put the disc in and at the Acer splash screen keep tapping F12 will start the recovery process, just follow the on screen instructions.

If you didn't do a recovery disc then you will have a recovery partition built into your hardrive, just start the laptop up and at the Acer slash screen keep tapping ALT+F10 or just F10 will start the recovery process, just follow the on screen instructions.

Thanks
