Go to a place that works on electric motors or even a electronics store but not radio shack the capacitor should have some numbers on them followed by mfd and the voltage if the numbers have worn off of it will be a little tougher you need the correct one or you can burn up the motor windings real quick if all else try sears they can get parts for almost anything but you pay a little more.

My rca r52wh73 wont turn on the power supply fuse was blown i replaced it and it blew right away. what do i need now and where can i find it? Thanks

You got a bad capcitor then on the power supply. You need to change out the bad capcitor so the fuse will not blow. I would recommend just buying a new power supply to save face as with anything eletronics just reparing one thing as you did brings out new issues.

Remember before touching anything eletrical I advice you if you do not know what your doing leave it to the experts who do thanks for using

Fan inside the house comes on and cool air comes thru vent but fan on outside compressor wont come on is is the capcitor

It could very well be the capcitor. If you have a duel capcitor (1 cap. that is used for both the fan & the compressor) the compressor may not run either. First and easieast try the capcitor. If thats not it and the compressor is running & all wires look ok than its probebly the fan motor.
Hope this helps;

Tv turns off after 5min,1-2 hrs

This will sooner or yet later get worse as time moves forward why?

You have a power supply unit gone bad in this TV.. The reason why I know is this the capcitors I call caps would look swollen and would heat up to a point that the TV just looses power as the capcitors cannot hold any charge anymore as they are defective. If your SAVVY you can discharge the TUBE and fix the PSU buying the capcitors online and soldering them yourself on the power supply unit. check this website out for reference on how Caps look open up your TV and see if you got bulging caps if you do that is a major issue and it would need replacment. Thanks for using hope this helps please rate!!

I have a sanyo vcr vwm 686 and when we turned it on this morning the clock set is showing up saying it needs to be set. I've already set it twice but the display is not going away. please help?

Hello falienee,

What might be happening is that the capacitor that holds the charge to keep the time set, might be malfunctioning. This is a common problem. First you will have to locate the capcitor with the help of a schematic, once that is done change out the capicitor with one of the same capacitance and voltage value. Once that is done it should clear up your problem. If not check the voltage levels around the microprocessor (it might be begining to malfunction)

I hope this helps

Thank you,
