Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Scannin I am receiving an error saying the computer is not connected to the device to scan. I know it is I can print to it. Please advise on how I can scan?

Try turning the printer off for 60 secounds and see if the reboot will solve the problem. Do make sure all cables are connected properly so your computer will be able to load the correct drivers at start up of the printer.

Dont start the scan from the printer. It is a little bit complicating. Double click on My Computer, right click on scanner or image device then use the wizard to scan.

Printer works, cannot scan (same issue as gemrise)


Yes, just like it says, you need a scanning software running on your computer, there are no options until you have the scanning software running and it knows where to send the image and how to save it.

Scanjet 4890 prepared to scan, but will not work


Uninstall the Driver Software, switch off the Computer and reinstall the driver software again. This should work.

No scanning, no printing, no xeroxing


thanks for your answer.now the problem is even bigger.there appears a message saying Port disabled and then Cannot open device.i'll try change the USB cable to see if it helps.
