Question about Heating & Cooling
First, do not keep trying to light it. The igniter may be bad and kerosene will keep building up in the burner. Test the igniter with an ohmmeter. I don't know the exact value at this second but it should be less than 20 ohms. You can also use a clamp on ammeter around one of the leads. If the igniter is drawing current, it is good.
Does the fuel pump make a loud ticking or thumping sound. If it does, you have a fuel problem. This could be caused by the filter at your tank, a dirty fuel sump strainer, no fuel in the tank, or an air bubble in the fuel line.
You should also check the flame rod. It can be cleaned with some steelwool or fine sandpaper.
Check the circuit board by checking for 120vac at the 2 pins where the igniter connects while the heater is starting.
Also check the air line going to the air pressure switch for cracks and splits. If the air pressure switch isn't made, the fuel pump will not run.
Check the flue pipe for obstructions like bees nests from the summer.
I hope this helps, let me know if it doesn't. If you need parts I can also get them.
