I have a Philips 37PF7320A - about 18 months old. Got home this evening to find TV powered down and neither the TV remote nor the cable remote could power on the tv or change volume. The controls on the side of the tv set work fine. First thing I did was replace the batteries in both remotes, but no luck.
Have you any suggestions please?
I had this exact same problem. After a week or so it started responding to the remote control again. Then after a couple of days it stopped responding. This problem came and went for about a month, then one day the entire TV went dead. When I powered it on, the green light appeared for 2 seconds followed by a sequence of 6 flashing red lights that repeated. I brought my set in to a repair shop and they replaced the power supply board. That fixed the problem and now the TV powers up and responds to the remote control again. Total charge was $250. That was very disappointing for a $1,500 TV that was only 18 months old. I'm going to let Philips know how disappointed I am in their product!

Similar product (Philips 37PFL5322D) having similar issue, however when the remote stopped working, I went to buy a new universal remote because I believed the other one to be broken. when that one didn't work I read the manual and it suggested to clean the remote control sensor lens on the monitor...I did and that didn't work...so i held the remote right up next to the sensor...it worked!! What is wrong with the remote sensor lens on the actual monitor and why isn't it reading the remote from more than 1 inch?
my tv control will not allow me to set the channel to channel 3.. Everything works on the remote except for the #'s
