Remotes no longer work

I have a Philips 37PF7320A - about 18 months old. Got home this evening to find TV powered down and neither the TV remote nor the cable remote could power on the tv or change volume. The controls on the side of the tv set work fine. First thing I did was replace the batteries in both remotes, but no luck. Have you any suggestions please?

Similar product (Philips 37PFL5322D) having similar issue, however when the remote stopped working, I went to buy a new universal remote because I believed the other one to be broken. when that one didn't work I read the manual and it suggested to clean the remote control sensor lens on the monitor...I did and that didn't work...so i held the remote right up next to the sensor...it worked!! What is wrong with the remote sensor lens on the actual monitor and why isn't it reading the remote from more than 1 inch?

I had this exact same problem. After a week or so it started responding to the remote control again. Then after a couple of days it stopped responding. This problem came and went for about a month, then one day the entire TV went dead. When I powered it on, the green light appeared for 2 seconds followed by a sequence of 6 flashing red lights that repeated. I brought my set in to a repair shop and they replaced the power supply board. That fixed the problem and now the TV powers up and responds to the remote control again. Total charge was $250. That was very disappointing for a $1,500 TV that was only 18 months old. I'm going to let Philips know how disappointed I am in their product!

N3235w remote control not working

EXACT remotes are often VERY expensive... I would recommend a NEWER "Universal Remote" that will not only empower your TV, but enable you to use FEWER remotes!

How do i reprgram my 00084J for my new samsung

I found a list of codes in my old Technics Hi-Fi system SADX940 that also work with this remote. So it seems the codes are universal, and even though some people claim that this remote cannot control Philips TVs because it is not a real "Universal Remote", it does. I held down the TV POWER button and entered code "06" and my old Philips TV responded with channel and volume settings - just the job. Hope it helps.

Philips universal code search for older electrohome tv

Me thinks IF you tried the 'code search' function and none worked, I sincerely doubt if any other 'codes' will marry your Philips Remote to your electrohome TV.

This is because your "SEARCH" effort already went through ALL of the possible codes THAT Philips Remote knows and can deliver. It is also possible that a different MODEL of Philips Remote MAY stumble on codes that DO work!

IF you have a 'original' remote, SOME NEWER remotes can LEARN the proper codes from the original remote! BUT you NEED that original remote to send the desired IR data pulses to the smart student remote.

And GOD ~ those TV's are SO OLD, did they even HAVE remotes??

Problems with your Philips 37PF7320A 37 in remote control

If the remote has been replaced the IR receiver could be bad. Try changing the channels with by the tv. Most likely that is the problem.Beside that the small signal board could be an issue. But I would the IR receiver would be first.

TV doesn't recognize any remote

The proble is the IR sensor 932220681667 or the small signal board. I would replace the IR sensor first. Also check the firmware and make sure it is BX23U-1.5.0.0_03531 and if it is not go to www.usasupport.com and down load the firware on a USB stick. If the set still has the problem when both are done replace the small signal board.
