Ignition sensor-about 70-80 dollars
temp sensor-about 50-60 dollars
These are two of the sensors in a heater. Price is about what the price is in my part of the world. You should find out what sensor and check local prices before you bank on Arizona prices. As they could change quite a bit depending where you live in the world.

I have a 98 neon that needs o2 sensor and egr valve fixed. Ive been quoted 340 repair bills for the work. Is that reasonable, or better to put 700 down start payments on a new car?

Carlos, Can you do any work your self new EGR valve $50.00, new O2 sensor $50.0 or less ordered through Rock auto.com, if car overall in good shape may be worth fixing. Especially if finances are tight. get a second even third estimate and this time ask them if you supply new parts O2 and EGR how much they want for labor, should not be more then 1.5 hours. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My 2006 Chrysler 300 hemi transmission keeps acting it shifts into first and then it wont shift after that if you shut down the vehicle and turn it off and start over then sometimes it shifts into all...

unless there was a code for your shift sensor then that was an expense that was not needed. the 1st thing I would suggest is a service. remove pan and have a complete trans flush then new filter and new fluids. about the same cost as the sensor. if not better, then it is probably internal and trans needs to come out

Wont start when cold out

If your vehicle is fuel injected the problem you describe could be result of a few different things: 1) Check your Idle Air Control (IAC) sensor/motor. This sensor is located on your vehicles, throttle body. The purpose of this sensor is to control the car's idle under various operating conditions including ambiant temperature. In order for it to function correctly, the internal components must be clean (meaning, little or no carbon build up) and it must be undamaged. Sometimes the IAC can be cleaned; however, if this cleaning procedure is not properly done, the IAC can become damaged. This sensor is also sometimes called the "Cold Start" sensor. A new IAC will cost $50-$100. 2) Check you Coolant Temperature sensor. This senso is located on the top of your engine and is screwed into your intake manifold. When this fails your car will experience starting problems when cold outside. A new Coolant Temp sensor will cost about $100. Take a look at two three solutions first. My guess is your IAC needs to be cleaned or replaced. Good Luck!

Please remember to rate this solution. Thanks!
